I know the Barbarian Class Deck came out after WotR. It has the ally Smith, which has the Blacksmith trait. I don't think there are any cards that care about the Blacksmith trait, so it probably doesn't really matter, but it makes me wonder if the Redeemer Blacksmith should have the Blacksmith trait.

No—but Smith should have the Hireling trait. Added to FAQ.
