Ok. So first of all, this should really be call EliandraCon. She does everything. She coordinates our schedules, arranged with the store, brings her base set, miniatures, and dessert. Every single time. This week it was ice cream cupcakes. Heck, it is all we can do at her table to ever get her to let us help set up the scenario.

We had 2 tables again this time. Our table of 3 (Eliandra, Theryon and myself) started at 1-5A and had finished 1-5D by the end of the day. We had a failure in there (1-5C I think?) but that didn't slow us down. We also had a near catastrophe, at lest for my Radillo. She was all set up to blow up the Villain, but first had to summon a random monster. Which was a Horned Demon. Now, if you've ever faced a Horned Demon, you know that before you act you have to succeed at a Wisdom 12 check or shuffle a random card from your hand into your location deck. Radillo is not top notch on the Wisdom. d4 in fact. If she lost that check, one of her cards (everything in her hand was from her deck, not acquired) would be lost as we won the scenario. And it was all good stuff. Worse, if it was randomly the one of the 2 attack spells she had, that villain wouldn't be going down like we'd hoped. Thankfully the Banner of Valor was out and with some blessings she got to roll 3d4 + 1d8. And she got an 11. But thankfully someone invented die bumps.

After that the villain was toast. Super awesome time. Radillo is shaping up nicely. Her card feat this time was actually an very difficult decision between item or ally. She ended up going item to get back those Arcane Robes in case she ever sees another Horned Demon.

Total blast, as always. I've not played PACG with lots of other groups, but I hope anyone else that plays gets to play with a group as fun as this one.

Our table is now a scenario behind theirs, since we failed 1-5D twice :(
We had a tier 5 pregen alchemist at the table who was missing a lot of his feats for much of the scenario because of confusion about cumulative-ness of the feats on the pregen lists, but otherwise things went alright. I didn't kill everyone at the Family Tomb, so that's always good!

Yes, Eliandra is the best.

Always a fun time with this crowd. We managed to get 5 scenarios in during the time we played ... just over an hour per on average. (Considering the one we had to replay was due to running out of time. And I think it was 1-5B.)

Glad three of us are able to head to GenCon in a week and a half. It'll be fun.

No, but we did have this moment where two of us (including me, this time) were at the Family Tomb and someone hit Death of Righteousness. I think everything was OK - it wasn't that close to death - but that moment of seeing that card pop up was...

This is the best and most fun group. Can't wait until we finally pull out of Wrath and start on Season of the Mummy, though! Unless we do Runelords or something next.

*French accent* Oh ho ho, Runelorrds, ees too eeazeey, no? Yees, eez too eeazeey!

Grand Lodge

It was hilarious when Calthaer did that.

Let me know when you're planning to start Season of the Mummy, maybe I can make it down for that one.

Grand Lodge

I'll talk to you about it next week.

We still need to finish off 1-5 and there are 5 scenarios in 1-6. I doubt we'll be doing 1-P.

If you've still got time to play when you finish the last scenario of 1-6, I imagine _someone_ will bring up 1-P.

I can just see Tyler wanting to roll all the dice and beat up a demon lord, anyways.

Aw, thanks, guys! HawkCon is pretty much my favorite activity.

We would love to have you come, Keith! I estimate another 2 sessions left of SotRi, so if we continue our bimonthly schedule, we should be starting a new season in January.

Our table is gearing up to face Khorramzadeh first thing in September, so we'll see how that goes. I'll have to remember to bring my mini.

As a note, "too easy" is not a phrase I would use to describe SotRu. But I think we're already playing on hard mode due to no one having a dex above d6.

I think it really depends on time for 1-P.

I did put it out to the group whether they want to skip SotRu and jump to SotM.

I was at the Family Tomb again. You might say it was my own fault, but I start the scenario there so it's less likely that other people will die. I love Raz! She keeps getting better and better! I'm still not used to being the one who can actually fight things (especially since I've been playing Siwar and Mother Myrtle recently).

We beat 1-5A on the first try, it took two runs to beat 1-5B, and we failed 1-5C (we have a table of 4 so it takes longer than the table of 3 over on the other side of the room). Our table's sessions have been entered!

As ever, Rebel has me beat in that area.

So a question that came up on Saturday that I am interested in other opinions on:

The villain of scenario 1-5B has the following text:

Isilda wrote:
Before you act, attempt a Divine or Knowledge 20 check. If you fail, either expend 1d4+1 mythic charges or bury your role card.

When I ran into this villain, I had very unfortunately already had a bad run in with an umbral dragon, and my role card was already buried. Am I then stuck expending 1d4+1 mythic charges, or can I elect to bury my role card, find that to be impossible, and do nothing?

I said she could choose to bury her already buried role card. I based that partially on this.

I must ask in which state or city do you guys play? It sounds enticing enough to move.

Sincerely, Lonely in Topeka...

We play in Bel Air, MD, which is north of Baltimore. You are welcome to come, but it is probably a little far for you. :-)

Welp, unless you guys have a GS-X series pinsetter bowling alley (preferably 32+ lanes)which is also in need of a Head Mechanic... probably not :(

Grand Lodge

Bel Air is about an hour and change out for me. It's not something I'd be doing regularly, obviously, but I'd love to plan on making it at least once, sometime, to put faces to names. Do you announce when you have HawkEliandraCons somewhere?

Silver Crusade 4/5 ***

Usually here. I've been putting them up on the Baltimore PFS meetup site, but I'm not posting the next couple because it's hard to fit new people in at the end of AD5. But the next one is September 10 at noon, and we do them about every two months.

Grand Lodge

Thanks! I usually only spot the AARs rather than the planning for some reason.

9/10 is a little soon after GenCon to take a vacation day (yes, I work Saturdays) but I'm'a try anyway. If not, November should be doable. Unless you have capacity problems, I can have characters of any Tier built up in time.

Silver Crusade 4/5 ***

We're all Tier 5 at the moment. If some of our extra people can come, we may have a Tier 1 table. I'll know closer to the event.
