It is incredibly difficult to download satisfactorily from Paizo. I just spent 40 minutes attempting to download the core rulebook. I wouldn't buy from them again. I buy from multiple other game book sites and none of them are this hard. I regret spending money here. Good game, bad website.

I suspect it may be either the internet connection... or the Core Rulebook is REALLY big.

Or possibly both.

I didn't download the core, but I've downloaded a few books from them, including a couple of the ultimate books (combat and Equiptment) and never had an issue.

May not want to write them off so fast. Could be other factors in play.

They do have a big clearance sale going on at the moment, and that could be contributing to slow downloads.

The main difference to many other sites is that Paizo watermarks your copies to belong to you. This system is usually pretty quick but can get back logged easily during a sale or big event.

We have plenty of bandwidth, and the sale on PDFs isn't that big a deal compared to, say, the Humble Bundle we offered a few months back.

In short, I can't explain what you're seeing. Can you offer some more details about your issues?

I can say that it did not take me as long as 40 minutes to download my CRB. That was also just a while after the Humble Bundle offer, I assume there still was a lot of traffic back then.
Not to suggest that you did anything wrong, I just think it's an irregularity.
EDIT: Or by "hard", do you mean that the downloading process isn't user friendly?

I just did a test download of the Core Rulebook, and I'm getting ~3 minutes to download. So I'm not sure what issue the OP is seeing, but server seems fine?

I will say that I was posting last night and lost one of my posts with that little graphic of a goblin fighting a CPU saying the site was having issues...

It didn't last long though, 5 minutes later I was back to posting. Maybe the stars were just aligned at the wrong time for the download.
