are these worth the money?

Name says it all. Sell me on what appears to be only lists of ways to reconfigured cards that ive already spent money on buying. Keeping in mind i already think most digital content is over priced.

What? I'm confused what are "these"? Name doesn't say it all...

Which product in particular are you asking about? The Organized Play Scenarios? That is my best guess, so I'll answer as if that is what you are asking about.

I'd say absolutely, and for a few reasons.

1. They actually do contain new cards. Granted, you'll have to either proxy them or "over sleeve" them if you use card sleeves, but there are new cards.

2. They provide entirely new scenarios and adventures from professional designers. You basically give all those cards you've bought a second live via a second adventure path. If you enjoy replaying one of the adventure paths, I think you'll enjoy this even more, since it gives it a different feel. If you didn't enjoy replaying an adventure path, well this reuses those cards with some new ones and gives you an entirely new feel.

3. They have a lot more story than the regular adventure paths do. A lot.

4. They aren't that expensive. About $1 per scenario.

5. Season of the Shackles is actually on sale right now as part of the PDF sale.

I agree with Hawkmoon that they are, if you want more content for your set. A bright side is that they're module, so you can pick your favorite box set and get the first adventure for only $5-$6. So if you find they are worth it, you can not buy the rest. Alternately, you can look to see if you have a local store that is running the Adventure Card Guild organized play. Then you can try a few scenarios and see what you think.

And since you're an AP subscriber, I'll offer an RPG analogy. Let's say you recently played through Rise of the Runelords (set in Varisia). Because of its location, do you automatically not want to play through Shattered Star (also in Varisia), even though the storylines are completely different, simply because the setting is the same and they both happen to be related in some capacity to the runelords?

EDIT: And as for price, $1 per scenario is a steal imo. For my group at least, a single scenario equates to over an hour of playing and having a good time with friends. Compare that to going out to the movies or drinking or something, and it comes out way ahead.

If you want to get more play out of your favorite box set, I totally think it's worth trying, at least. You'll make your own call from there.

In terms of new cards, I happen to have SotR1-6 & 1P open in front of me, and 1-6 has 14 new cards for its 5 scenarios while 1P has 2 new cards.

It is perhaps worth note that Season of the Righteous 1P is free afaik, so can give you a hint of the ways in which these scenarios have more room for story and present a new twist on the product you've already purchased.

Speaking of new cards, what are the chances to actually see new loot and / or locations in future releases?

I bought SotR and what has been released of SotRu so far and as far as I can tell, the new cards are exclusively henchmen and villain, the exception being the rewards for completing the season.

I know some people dislike proxies, but I think some unique loot and / or new locations would be interesting.

SotS has new locations for at least 2 of its scenarios, so that's been done before at least :)

Ah, thanks for mentioning that :)
Pity I skipped SnS I guess, but I'm not very fond of pirate settings...

I'd be more interested in the loot aspect anyway. The first time we played through RotR, we didn't have an arcane caster and I remembered the loot of the game to be alright.
By the second time we played through it however, using Ezren it became apparent really quickly that almost all loot is targeted at arcane casting and/or melee weapons.
Playing through RotR with characters introduced afterwards can feel pretty punishing regarding the loot aspect, since there is almost nothing for dexterity or divine based characters. Ezren got what felt like 90% of all the loot in the latest playthrough, so I thought it would be nice if SotRu could introduce some loot for the remaining types of characters.
