You emit a pulsating mental blast that stuns all creatures in range of your psychic shriek for 1 round.
What is psychic shriek? And what is its range?
Is it possible that the spell was originally called psychic shriek in development, but the name changed, but they forgot to change the spell description?
Anyone know?
The shriek is just fluff for what the victims hear mentally. The range is listed in the range and area lines, 30 ft.
It's fluff. The spell effect is you doing a psychic shriek, using the normal English definitions for those respective words.
The range is as the spell specifies, a 30 foot radius from you.
Note that it is not a sonic spell, however. Deaf creature are not immune because the shriek is in their brain.
