Wisdom in the Flesh + Social Grace

Rules Questions

Benefits: Select any Strength-, Constitution-, or Dexterity-based skill. You may make checks with that skill using your Wisdom modifier instead of the skill's normal ability score. That skill is always a class skill for you.

Social Grace: The vigilante selects any one Intelligence-, Wisdom-, or Charisma-based skill other than Perception or Use Magic Device. Whenever the vigilante is in his social identity, he receives a +4 circumstance bonus on checks with the selected skill.

Do these work in conjunction? I.e. I choose Acrobatics and then apply my social grace bonus to Acrobatics?

Thanks for your input.

My gut says it won't work, but my gut's been wrong before.
Curious to see what people say, so DOT

FAQ would suggest not.

As it becomes a wisdom based skill only at the time of rolling it isn't really available to select at any other time. If you had an ability that said something like "add +4 to a wisdom based skill check", then you would be fine.

I'd be more than happy for someone to prove me wrong though...

Hmm yeah that FAQ looks like it's a no go. Too bad...

I have to agree that it wouldn't apply due to the writing, "you may make checks with that skill using your Wisdom modifier..." If it had been written differently, such as to state that checks with that skill must always use Wisdom modifier and it now counts as a Wisdom based skill for any and all purposes, or something to that effect, then you'd be in business.
