Advanced Firearm (Rifle) and Rapid Shot

I have done a ton of searching and I can't seen to find a specific answer about this.

I know it was Errataed that Rapid Reload moves all Advanced Firearms reload to a free action.

I know you can Rapid Fire a Revolver (multiple bullets in it), but can you rapid fire with a Rifle? I would assume a reload of a Free action would mean I could.

BUT.. Lightning Reload (Ex) seems to counter this a bit. It says if you have Rapid Reload or are using Alchemical cartridges, you can reload a single barrel of a weapon as a free action each round instead.

I know the real benefit of this is that it does not provoke a AoO. But it says "a single barrel". Does this basically limit the free action to once per round?

If I have a Rifle, Rapid Reload, and Rapid Fire. Can I shoot the rifle, reload as a free action (via Rapid reload), then fire again, as a Rapid Fire action? Then potentially again as a second BAB shot?

If this has been answered before and my google-fu has failed me, I apologize.

Yes, since it is a free action to load a Rifle with Rapid Reload you can use it to full attack (including any other modifiers like Rapid Shot).

Lightning Reload is a special deed for the Gunslinger, probably meant for the Musket. The default campaign setting is emerging guns, Gunslinger is very much written assuming you're using early firearms. And using early firearms, there's no way to reload a Musket as anything less than a move action (unless you go Musket Master). Honestly, even reloading Pistols as a free action normally takes Rapid Reload and Alchemical Cartridges. Lightning Reload is just meant for an emerging guns world.

Lightning Reload lets you usew Non-Alchemical cartriges. That is it's purpose. Remember, this means lower Misfire.

If you are using Lighttning Reload then it forces 1 free reload/rd.

I don't know why you are, but yes.

Makes sense! The rules being built around emerging guns.

I got DM approval to allow myself an advanced gun. I am only dipping into Gunslinger, and its not my normal action, so it's not really game breaking.

Its a slightly modified Skull & Shackles campaign. I am playing a Sing Singer (Bard) with 1 dip into Mysterious Stranger. So I can shoot between singing/spells/etc.

Going to bookmark this link as proof. As a note: Hero Lab doesn't let me do this, which why I had the rule question to begin with.

Thank you both.

Here's the FAQ that says reloading an advanced firearm with Rapid Reload is a free action. It was a recent clarification, as previously there was some confusion about, well, a lot of things involving advanced firearms, to be honest.
