Gnome Druids and racial weapons

Can a gnome Druid use a gnome hooked hammer as a Miele weapon? Does it cause class problems? Need clarification please. This is for society play

Druids can use a Gnome Hooked Hammer. They only have restrictions on armor and shields, not weapons. However you wouldn't automatically have profiency with the GHH since Druids don't have profiency with all martial weapons. You would need to take Exotic Weapon Proficiency (GHH) to avoid the non-profiency penalties.

or take heirloom weapon trait, since it's a martial weapon for you the trait will work with it.

I think Ancestral Weapon Mastery would actually be a better choice than Exotic Weapon Proficiency since it would get you proficiency with both the Gnome Hooked Hammer and the Gnome Pincer.

That's a good idea. Exotic Weapon Proficiency and Ancestral Weapon Mastery couldn't be taken until the BAB is +1, but Heirloom Weapon could be selected at 1st level.

It's a martial weapon for for gnomes so Martial Weapon Proficiency is enough.

Which druids do not have, which is why there are suggestions of the best manner to get the proficiency for the Gnome.

Right, but would you rather wait till level three and burn a feat or a trait you can use from level 1?

Oh, yes. Martial Weapon Proficiency doesn't have any prerequisites so it can be taken at 1st level. Very clever!

Thanks for advice I owe ya

Though that trait only applies proficiency to that particular weapon, not to replacements of the same type of weapon. So if later purchase one made of special materials, the trait won't apply to the new weapon.
