The idea would be that you each make a character at a certian level. Then you must complete a pre-made dungeon for that level. Note these are extremely challenging, and have a time restraint for completion or failure occurs. If you fail, or, all PCs die, then applications from other PCs will be used to cycle in. Any player who's PC died and was cycled out may submit a new character, or resubmit a modified version of their old character.

Upon completion of the dungeon, any PC(s) still alive will be allowed to move on to the next dungeon trial. Those that perished may re-submit but are not allowed to continue. The final dungeon will be a level 20 dungeon in which any PC that has survived at least 3 dungeons in a row to this point with be given a special boost, this boost increases in potency the more dungeons in a row they survived.

Players that wish to can apply in groups or teams of two, up to five (the party size I will be selecting)

This will be either PbP or Skype/Roll20 depending on popular/player demand.

The first dungeon will be done with 6th level PCs, with a 27pt buy,

HP: Max hp every odd level, half HD+1 every even level.

Classes: all paizo classes are allowed,i will not be accepting any 3PP as this is in part something of a test for me. The only exceptions to this are the following: no summoner except unchained summoner, no master summoner builds, and no summoner based caster with more than 2 summoned monsters at a time.

Traits: two traits, no drawbacks,

Feats: every gains one free feat at level 1, that may be used on any non-combat feat.

Use the standard WBL for 6th level characters, with the following rules, one item worth up to 50% of maximum wealth, one item worth up to 25% maximum wealth, and all other items worth no more than 15% of maximum wealth. If you have the craft X feat and the proper spells you may craft the item as per standard rules if and only if taking 10 on the roll meets the crafting DC. Only two items may be crafted.

As this will be a dungeon/combat/survival based game I would like 1 post/day.

Toram, Warpriest of Calistria

background:
Toram is a half-orc warpriest that specializes in Calistria's favored weapon, the whip. He was raised in the church after his mother died in childbirth. His father was/is an orc raider that razed his mother's village, used her, and left her for dead. He seeks to bring vengeance to those who would destroy peace and civilization. He has since gone out on his own to seek out and destroy evil. He would find the challenges of the trial inviting to not only text his skills, but purge the evil inside.

I'll make a full profile if I am selected for the game.


Any race restrictions? And do you want a background story at all?


Any non-monstrous race on the PRD for Pathfinder is open.

Feel free to write a background, I've always noticed that at least having a personality for a character to determine actions makes things more fun. Even if they don't have reasons why.

I'd like for you too have a personality for the character, but an extensive background is optional.

My entry, Bambam the Goblin Alchemist.

Bambam, youth:
Bambam and his friends ambushed and killed a wandering alchemist. The next order of business was to divide up the spoils. Mancooker, the tribe's chief, took the heart. Ripnugget, the chief's son, took the liver. Rempy and Janka each took a leg. Bambam took his formula book.

"Bambam take splodey man's words and make 'splosions!"

The other goblins laughed and laughed, but Bambam spent day and night studying the book.

Bambam, adolescense:
The young goblins of the tribe were playing stickball, a traditional game of taking turns to hit each other in the ... with a stick. Just before his turn, Ripnugget cocked his head to listen.

"You guys hear that?"

Everybody paused. Had it been anybody else they would have accused him of delaying out of fear of being hit with the stick, but Ripnugget was notorious for his sensitive hearing. A moment later the sound was clear to all.

"eeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!"

They looked up to see an enormous bat diving down at them out of the sky. Bambam was clinging desperately to its back. Just as the bat pulled out of its dive he threw something at Ripnugget. There was an enormous explosion as it hit, followed by a noxious cloud of smoke.

The young goblins crawled out of the smoke on their hands and knees, vomiting on the ground. They looked back as the smoke dissipated and saw that the chief's son's head had been blown clear off his body. In the mean time, Bambam was circling the field on his bat.

"You all laughed at Bambam! Who's laughing now? Hahahahahaha- ow!"

That last bit was occasioned by a chunk of dirt that had caught Bambam in the face. He flew off, leaving his tribe behind as he stayed just ahead of a hail of rocks and arrows.

Bambam, adult:
"Now look here, you, you need to fix this."

The speaker was a tall man, his imperious bearing somewhat ruined by the mass of warts covering his face. He was addressing a small figure that was largely hidden beneath a mass of robes and veils. The small figure cocked its head.

"What problem?"

"The problem is that your skin care salve ruined my face!"

"Bambam think look very nice. Remind Bambam of ex-girlfriend."

"I don't care what you think! If you don't get rid of these warts I'm going to call the city guard!"

The small figure responded with a thoughtful hum before ducking down to rummage through one of the boxes scattered around his tent. After a moment he popped back up, vial in hand. He offered it to his dissatisfied customer.

"Take outside. Apply to face."

The man snatched the vial out of his hand. "This better work."

Stepping outside, the man uncorked the vial and upended it over his face. A moment later the alchemical liquid ignited, burning with an intensity that could be felt from several feet away. The man started running around in circles, waving his arms in panic.

"My face! My face is on fire! Why? Why did I listen argle bargle..."

A moment later he fell to the ground and lay still. Bambam walked out of the tent and carefully rolled the man over onto his back.

"Warts gone!"

Bambam was chased away from the human settlement, flying away just ahead of a hail of rocks and arrows.

I'm going to give a very simple backstory for Ser Archibald at the moment:

Ser Archibald is a highborn young man, who was born into lavishness and opportunity, but as a fourth son, with no real chance of getting his father's huge inheritance. His father began training him from a young age in the ways of combat of the high-class, with the expectation that he would be a knight for some high lord. He went off to the most prestigious fighting school, in the peak of physical shape, carrying one of his father's more powerful magic swords, ready to become the best fighter at the school.

During his early training, Archibald learned the basics of sword combat using wooden faux-swords. It wasn't until two years later, when he was finally permitted the honor of brandishing his father's heirloom falchion, that a miraculous thing happened... he suddenly manifested magic, directly from the sword! He was quickly moved into the school for mixing arcane and martial ability, the Academy of the Magi, but he found that his magic was different from that of his colleagues in the school. He did not channel magic through the weapon he carried the way that they did... instead, he was able to coax the magic from the sword OUT, to manifest it in specific ways. This resulted in a small but diverse pool of magic at his disposal, but he was not able to learn standard written spells like his colleagues.

After graduating from the standard fighting school, despite his magical abilities, he was knighted by a local magistrate, and decided to go out into the world and experience more before he pledged himself to a king or queen for life. He now travels Golarion, trying to discover the best ways to increase his magical abilities while training his body for combat.

my apologies! I haven't read or used combat stamina, so I suppose now is a good time, I will however follow the recommendation and only allow it to the fighter.

As a point of clarity, are you allowing it for Fighters automatically (the Free for Fighters option)? If so, that just frees us a feat slot for me. :)

Kelris Fluff:

Kelris grew up on his fathers Vineyard in southern Andoran along the Inner Sea. Kelris was never one for the art of growing and maintaining plants. His father saw this and enrolled him in a fighting school hoping to tame the boy a bit and give him an out let for all his boundless energy. As Kelris grew so did his skill at arms. He became a fighter of some renown taking contracts to train children at the school he learned from and the. He traveled out and around the county and out of country with a group of friends, A strange giant of a man, simple but Divinely inspired, a brat who had great knowledge of all things Arcane and a Roguish Gentlemen who he never really knew as well as he thought.

Having many great and grand adventures after a while Kelris tired of the life of death and treasure. He returned home to stay with his family for a while, learning the trade of Wine making from his father and even starting to enjoy the wine. After a few years he grew adventerous again. His family was aging and he sought out one last great adventure before he retired from the life of danger and peril.

He heard win of a temple of trails, testing your mettle, resolve and skills to keep you alive and to win the day. He set out for this temple and hoping to go down in the pages of history.
