Adding Spells To An Arcane Bonded Item

Rules Questions

So a 3rd level wizard with an amulet as a bonded item wants to place featherfall upon it. He has the level to create wonderous items and has featherfall as a spell. This is the first item being added to the amulet. The question is- can he do this? Featherfall is usually seen a a ring- can he put it on the amulet?

Technically he can, probably at penalty for a nonassociated slot. It's all GMs hands, though, as it's custom crafting an item.

Only as a custom magic item, I would think. So it would depend on what crafting rules had been agreed upon for your campaign. Otherwise, if you're just sticking with published magic items, I'm unaware if there's a neck-slot version of a ring of feather fall.

"Not associated slot" was a rule from 3.5 not ported in Pathfinder. As it is a custom item allowing it and the costs are up to the GM but an amulet of feather fall to me seem on par or even worse than having a ring of feather fall.

It use a slot that you can generally use even at low level (for an amulet of natural armor), while having more than 2 rings at a low level is fairly rare.
