How many tricks does an AC start with at first level?
I'm told 6-7 depending on Intel score.
2 INT > 6 Tricks + 1 if Druid Bonus Trick
6 Base you've gotta teach them, the Bonus one it's automatic
Letric is right on the numbers, but I'm not 100% sure he is right on the training. PFS specific FAQ, maybe, but I have never seen anything indicating that your first animal companion is untrained.

You're right. I guess you can technically take 20 and teach them everything before the actual adventure starts.
But if you change it, or dies, then you've gotta teach it.
