New Players Unable to Post in Gameplay Theead

I was just informed by some players that I recently recruited for a pbp game that they can’t post in the actual gameplay thread. They said it was because they weren’t listed as a player. I’ve never had this happen before and am not sure how to fix it. I’ll try to get them to post here to give a better picture of what they encountered.

Posting in a Gameplay thread is what labels that account a player for it, so no one’s a player for it till they post in there, and anyone can post in the thread. Are they unable to post due to the thread being locked or are you able to post?

The two most common reasons for someone being unable to post in a Gameplay thread are:

the initial post in the thread was deleted, in which case no one will be able to post in it; or

players are trying to make a post identical to a previous post on the page, usually "dot" or "." or sometimes a roll like Perception or Initiative with the same bonus that's already been rolled.
