Strategy & Opinions on Brielle (Barbarian)

Just curious how effective people are finding Brielle? She seems quite powerful to start out with. How best to build her as she levels up?

I played Brielle through AD 4 of SotS. She was totally bad-ass. Picking up more and more Objects and Tools with higher AD numbers, plus Strength Skill Feats give her d8+2d12+lots on most combat checks at the cost of a recharged card (she rarely failed, in my experience). Her Diplomacy checks are d10+d12+a few, as well, for the same cost. (I STILL maintain this latter is intimidation. My roommate still maintains that a halfling going berserk is overpoweringly adorable, like a kitten attack a tennis shoe.)

There's not much else to her, and the Topaz of Strength is less useful than a Ruby of Charisma would be, but she's totally worth it. My game coordinator was playing her in another game, and found her to be brutal, as well.

Oh, building up. I piled on Strength skill feats to start. The first power I gave her was the last one (d12 when she uses an Object/Tool rather than d8). I tend to base Card Feats on what's available when I earn it, but Explores are my go-to (allies/blessings).

Remind them that one of the role cards is called 'Kneecapper', not "Kitten Tornado".

Just gonna leave this here.

"Why are are Brielle's Allies either limping or walking bow-legged?"

"I've learned not to ask..."
