Channeler class question

Advice and Rules Questions

Just started playing Pathfinder a few months ago with some friends. I'm a long time D&D fan and have to say I'm loving it. Also I hope I'm posting in the right place.

Currently playing a cleric in a short campaign before we choose what we really want to play and I'm probably going to go with Channeler (from The Secrets of Divine Channeling) which is an AWESOME purchase. I don't understand one of the powers and hoping someone can explain it to me:

Healing Domain - Breath of Healing: as a standard action, employ one of your channel uses to infuse all weapons within range of your channeling with healing energy. When these weapons strike, instead of doing damage they provide divine healing equal to the amount of healing you would normally provide through your channeling. This healing charge lasts for a number of rounds equal to the number of dice that would be rolled and is discharged as soon as the weapon strikes a target. Those wishing to negate this ability may do so with a successful Will save.

What is the point of this power?! Do you use it to neuter those attacking you so that their weapons heal you? Do you use it for your own party and then stab yourselves? With all of the powers of the other Domains I find this one weird and I don't get it. With other powers granting amazing and fun new ideas what is the point of this above power?!

I'm thinking of changing it to granting all those effected Fast Healing or giving those effected a 'reactive heal' if they get damaged within the number of rounds in which you have dice (2d6 = 2 rounds) they heal for an amount stored, which would be similar to the power above but actually make sense for a Healing Domain.

Help would be greatly appreciated in understanding this.

CHEERS!!

Hmmm, it looks like you're referring to this product by Rite Publishing, which isn't produced by Paizo and so doesn't really fit in this particular sub-forum (no worries—it takes a little while to get accustomed to the many corners of our messageboards). I've flagged for this thread to be moved to our Third-Party Pathfinder RPG Products area, where I bet you'll get much better answers. I anticipate one of our moderators will move it soon.

Welcome to paizo.com!

Thanks for flagging and having it moved. I'm very curious to hear what people have to say about this. Channeling is such an interesting concept and I really want to make sure that I implement this correctly in my game.

Cheers!

You use it to make opponents weapons in to healing machines, also remember that positive energy healing damages undead.
