Classic Aliens you'd like to see?

Starfinder Charter Superscriber

There are plenty of alien species out they're, both sentient and not. Which classics would you like to see done up in starfinder? Obviously most are copyrighted, but seeing something with a similar concept could be fun. Personally, I'm hoping for stats for creatures based on:

Xenomorphs/facehuggers/chestbusters
Tribbles
Wookies
Little green men (playable?)
ET style aliens
Some version of the borg, but more organic
Cybertronians
The creature from Species (space succubus. Cause why not)
The glorf from Megas Xlr

The Exchange

Rodianians
Twi'lek
Space Halflings
Space Goblins

Silver Crusade

The face huggers and their Queen, like the brood.

...

Fred Hoyle's Black Cloud
Q (perhaps a substantially scaled-down version so combat is possible against him/them...at 20th-level)
Nagilum (again, maybe some scaling-down would be due)
the Na'vi (NG psychic Giants who look like a tempting target for interstellar raiders/invaders...until they discover their entire planet is Gaea Hypothesis on steroids)
Andalites
Yeerks (because brain-slugs are inevitable, and they were probably the best of the worst)
Mercora! (better still if they were made playable!)
the *thing* from Dr. Who episode "Midnight"
the Silence
the patently silly "Martians" from Twilight Zone episode "Mr. Dingle, The Strong"
the silliest "Martians" of all
ZORAK!

Agreed. This is a chance for originality.

^I would agree with you, but being the StarCraft fan that I am, I have to say Zerg.

Why would Paizo want to include an unrelated company's IP?

More races inspired by pulp sources like the Lashunta and well just about everything from Akiton.

Any creature from old sci-fi movies, shows, books, etc. that are now public domain so they don't have to worry about copyright issues.

^Unfortunately for that, copyright lasts a LONG time.

Perhaps a few intellectual property holders might see inclusion in Pathfinder/Starfinder as promoting their works, and might be willing to make a deal that isn't too onerous (like Larry Niven making a deal to get their Kzinti onto the Star Trek Animated Series).

Something like the Newcomers from Alien Nation I think would make an interesting PC Race.

But more or less I'd have to agree with Umbral and Gnoll, let's hope for more originality.

How about the funky moon-demon-things from Le Voyage dans la Lune?

For that matter, how about the funky moon-dude from Le Voyage dans la Lune (his DR may be unbelievable, but you can overcome it by making a called shot to the eye)?

Also: Zistles

I assume people realize that but rather want aliens INSPIRED by these creatures, rather than the straight up 1:1 version.

I'll add in:

Daleks
Martians ala War of the Worlds

Id be happy with a return of Kythons (no that was not a typo).
Xenomorphs would be nice.

The Eich, because every setting needs a race of competent evil alien overlords; and the Delgonians, because every space opera setting also needs bad guys who are so villainous nobody can defend them, even the competent evil alien overlords.

Also, the climax of the AP where the heroes have to figure out how to hijack control of the sunbeam's control center to prevent the Delgonians from using Sarenrae's fire to vaporize Castrovel and Akiton at the same time during the once-a-millennium lineup of the two worlds ought to be worth the price of admission.

Also, there totally needs to be a planet/moon somewhere out there that's like this!

Dralasites, and while we're at it, might as well include Vrusks and Yazirians, too.

Screw stealing from movies, TV, and books. I'm taking it back to the RPG roots!

An alien species that looks like an elf with green or blue skin and a +2(maybe +4)cha bonus. It could be a new type of elf or something else entirely.

Why CHA and not INT?

Being a scion of Might & Magic, I'd love to see a blue-skinned +4 INT Elf...in a science-fantasy setting, so much the better!

Maybe it's the same Elves of "present-day" Pathfinder, but they've evolved (naturally-driven or voluntarily-driven - probably the latter, for numerous reasons).

Brings up the question of what the people of Verces are up to in Starfinder (or has that already been answered to any degree)?

Spiders from Mars Akiton

I think Bestiary 5 and Distant Worlds are probably a preview of what the aliens would look like.

Who here's played Twilight Imperium?

I'd love to see something like the Embers of Muuat and the Ghosts of Creuus (the Necro Virus would be good weird/scary villains, too, and the Yin Brotherhood could make a pretty weird PC race).

Furyians? The Riddick played one in those movies... It seems to be a race that shares a communal pool of power so that the fewer there are, the stronger they get. Individually give them big stat mods but then they take penalties when around others of their kind.

How about a race as a class symbiotic species. Or a symbiote as a template species? I think it'd be fun to refer to player, character and symbiotic all in one as "we".

Scarab Sages

Or colonial/modular entities.

Anyone familiar with Harbinger (AKA "Diablo In Space?")? The Vantir from that - corporatist bacterial colonies who move around in vat-suits - were excellent unsympathetic villains. The Culibine from that - a regenerating, telekinetic biomechanical harlequin that fed on radiation - was cool, too.

Whoa . . . Never mind aliens, THIS is the soundtrack (and not too far off from being also the video track) you want for Pharasma and/or The Boneyard. (Of course, who says you can't have aliens in The Boneyard?)

Are you familiar with "Captain Stormfield's Visit to Heaven," by Mark Twain?

Now I have images of the Klingon Empire conquering Golarion dancing in my head. Fun to think about.

Paizo tends to copy/reinterpret creatures from every source they can. Looking forward to their continuing the process with Starfinder, getting the sci-fi alien tropes all paizobestiarified.

But my number one pick? Heinlein's Star Beast. I've always wanted to see that one statted out and drawn prettily. Eats iron for a snack, hit it with a two by four as a gentle nudge, and overeating causes it to get bigger like a goldfish. Lives for an age, and talks in a lisping little kid voice.

Scarab Sages

Maybe there's this one comet that turns out to be hollowed-out and have a Chaotic Good lich riding around inside it....

As a matter of fact, I did, along with his other collected short stories (including the terminally awesome The Mysterious Stranger).

We have the greys and reptile aliens but how about the insectoid, silver/blond haired human like ones, and the other one that is similar to grays but a different size.

A tiny race that pilots a human size robot.

A race similar to the bad guys in Voltron/Go Lion.

Actually they already have space whales. Lookup the OMA in Bestiary 4.

Can I nominate the Loroi (and their archfoes the LE Umiak) from Jim Francis's webcomic Outsider?

He didn't 'make a deal'. He sold them a script that was an adaptation of one of his short stories. And my understanding was he did it to get paid, not to get more exposure for Known Space.

Wouldn't mind seeing an alien race like that salt vampire from the first episode of the original Star Trek series.

The "id" monster from Forbidden Planet.

Didn't care for that, because of the antiquated (and potentially quite poisonous) Freudian ideology that it was based on.

I know it's a classic B-movie (based on The Tempest, to boot), but that spoiled it for me.

I would want something like Tyranids/Zerg/Arachnids and whatever else you might call it, because I like Bugwar scenarios.

but aside from that I'm with Umbral and Gnoll Coward, i'd prefer originals over bootlegs.
