Looking for a fat wizard mini

Miniatures

I've got a character who is very prominent in my current home brewed campaign.

How I described him, was as an older gentleman who appears to be a cross between Gandalf and Santa. He dresses in fancy clothing, has a large beard, and is a well versed wizard.
(his race is not entirely determined, as I want the mini to be the basis for his look. I'd be willing to make him dwarf, human, or elf)

So if you know of any minis like this, I would greatly appreciate if you would let me know of them. I do want to use this character as a PC eventually in a game.

This is the closest I was able to find, though if I could find, though I'd prefer a more fancy/well dressed character.

Yeah, fat models full stop are hard to find. Father Stone is the only one that springs to mind, but again he suffers from the poor clothing issue. It might be simpler to greenstuff the clothing into better shape than to actually find what you're looking for, but I'll have a rummage later and see what I can find.

The guy on the right might work.

Scarab Sages

Two questions.

1: How plump are we talking here?

2: Can he have a crossbow?

3: Dwarven Gandalf!

I'm not sure. Just fat.

Whether that is sumo size or the size of the mini I posted in the original post.

that might actually work. thanks!

not particularly fancy dress, but that's nothing a little work won't fix

Scarab Sages

The crossbow wizard is a rather tall miniature. I think he's 35-40mm. Just warning you now as Micro Art Studio's Discworld range tend towards the taller and larger size.

Hasslefree's Dwarven Gandalf is perfectly sized for a dwarven wizard :).

Have you considered a Balin figurine? There is a nice Warhammer version of him, that looks like this. If you're looking for a pre-paint, you could go for the Heroclix version. I've never held this particular mini in my hand, but I have some other Heroclix dwarves and they stand quite tall for a dwarf. I guess you could even have them pass for a small human. His blade could be cut back to look like a wand or something, if you'd wish.

If you want a human, Heroclix also has this Harry Leland mini; he's the guy on the left. He has the fancy clothing you want and you could easily give his beard a repaint, but it isn't a huge beard ...

On the Reaper site, look at #02548 'Merchant and Henchmen'.

The merchant is a portly human, well dressed, with a cane and a hat.

I used him as a mini for a character years ago and he may work for you as well.

No beard, though.

I really like the dwarven gandalf, which I may actually get anyway. Although he is the best I think I've seen so far.

BTW, Hasslefree produces some of its figurines in various poses, so there are actually two Grimdalf minis, the one in the link above and this one here. The first one is currently out of stock on the Hasslefree site, though.
