Hi guys,

I am working on a geographical database of the Inner Sea. I eventually want the map to be searchable and zoomable all the way from the basemap to the city/dungeon level.

So far I have digitized Nations, Cities, Forests, Rivers and Lakes. All features have attribute data useful by players and GMs alike. You can click on any feature to gain more information about it. I'm hoping it can be used for anything from plotting campaigns to character creation and more.

I have the work-in-progress online for a preview and comments.

Have a look and tell me what you think so far: http://qgiscloud.com/Triceratops/The_Inner_Sea

What would you find helpful to be included?

Thanks,

Tyler

That's an impressive amount of data you've put in already. Nice!

I think country and location names would probably make the map a lot more usable.

I like what I see, but Ben is right, it does need country, city and location names to be truly useful. If it could pull data in from the PRD, so that it'd give you the "basic blurb" when you clicked on a town, such as Magnimar, that would be excellent. (Though admittedly, that's a LOT of work).

Hi,
Thanks for the feedback.
QGIS is open source GIS and comes with a bit of online functionality for free. This is its limit. I'm working on figuring out a better host so I can do proper symbolization.

Interesting project....
Shame you could not just import in PNG Map files
And Hyperlink Maps together..

That way as new products come out you could add them easily.
