From the SRD: A lucky firearm has its own magical reservoir of grit. Usually this grit is stored within the marks of an engraving or in a trinket that hangs from the firearm. Often these marks take the form of holy symbols or fetishes, but such a reservoir can take just about any form. This reservoir holds 1 grit point, which is refreshed at the start of each day. Whether or not the wielder of a lucky firearm has any deeds (see Ultimate Combat), she can always spend 1 grit point from the lucky firearm to reroll an attack from it that would result in a misfire. When the wielder does so, she must take the second result, even if that attack roll also results in a misfire.

My question is how this interacts with a grit pool if the character has one.

Taken in a vacuum, the RAW reading sounds like all the talk of "grit reservoir" is a red herring, and that it's simply a 1/day ability, since there's no mechanic within the enchantment text suggesting that the grit can be used for anything other than a reroll nor that it could be replenished through the standard means of killing blow/crit.

On the other hand, grit/panache/luck have been described as all pooling together in a single pool. A Gunslinger/Spellscar Drifter Cavalier's two grit sources would obviously stack as well. Is that the mechanic being used here as well, with the weapon and the character sharing their grit pools? That would seem more in line with a +1 enchantment than a 1/day reroll.

This question seems better suited to the rules question forum, flagged for movement.

For my 2 cents, it seems that the wielder can use the grit point from the weapon for other deeds, but can only reroll a misfire once.

I believe that is the only use available of the grit point. The grit point is on the item, not in the person to fuel other abilities.

you can use it to fuel any deeds you have.

Since it's grit, is it recharged according to grit rules?
