Need help with class and build for a very melee and support heavy group in Wrath of the Righteous

Advice

I am in a bit of a quandary as my group is a Paladin with a lot of Lay on hands, Support Bard, demon slayer sling staff specialized halfling ranger and kineticsist. We just finished the first book.

I was playing a Life Spirit Shaman, but between the ranger, bard and paladin I was having little to heal as we could handle a lot of damage and not get too badly hurt.

I want to run a Full Caster to help shore us up for the later adventures but I am having difficulties deciding on a class and build, as my Shaman was too spread out in options to really focus on a role.

Well, Wrath of the Righteous has the campaign traits that tie to specific Mythic paths. Generally speaking, I find you don't want to overlap Paths/traits in this particular AP, so what are the others playing? Presumably, the Paladin is going Guardian, the Ranger is going Champion, the Bard is going Marshall, and the Kineticist is either Archmage or Trickster? So I'd recommend aiming for something that can make the most of Hierophant.

Given the general theme of the campaign, a Cleric would probably be a safe bet there. You say you're a bit melee heavy, which presumably means the bard is a melee combatant (since ranger and kineticist are most likely ranged). Archery is always solid and gets even better with the joy that is Mythic Rapid Shot, Mythic Manyshot, and Mythic Deadly Aim.

So running, say, an elf or human Cleric of Erastil with archery feats should work pretty well. There's not a whole lot of complexity to it as a build, and since you're already at the point of Mythic stuff if you've finished the first book then you've got a few levels under your belt and you're ready to kick ass.

I created a very effective Wizard in my run of WOTR who took levels in RiftWarden. It got to the point where she laughed at spell resistance. And chuckled at immunities.

All the bard does is support, spells, song and skill checks. A lazy bard build.
the kineticist is going for melee and some range, really heavy in the damage department.

Oh and the Bard is running I think between 4-5 Archtypes, the paladin is knocking on 3-4.

Wait a minute we might not have finished the first book as were only level 3 and have yet to get our Mythic powers.

Yeah, a Cleric would work well here. Help facilitate other people's beatdowns while also throwing out some damage of your own. You could also consider an Inquisitor or Warpriest, but the Mythic stuff really does incentivize full casters.

If archery isn't your thing, you could also build a cleric or druid that focuses on summons, since Hierophant gets the rather strong Mighty Summons. A 3rd level human Cleric could have Augment Summoning and Superior Summoning, which combined with Mighty Summons means that you can drop 1d3+2 beefed up Celestial dogs with DR 5/epic for a 2nd level spell.

oh for build consideration my rolls for stats are:16,18,10,14,10,14.
and I can put them anywhere I want.

Bard won't need it. So skald perhaps? Double up on those bonuses.

Liberty's Edge

My group is currently near the end of book 2, with a very similar group. Witch instead of a shaman, and no Kineticist, but paladin, lazy bard and my demonslayer ranger. We too were slaughtering things, and got a little cocky. Ending fights before the enemy could even act, taking almost no damage. Then we got into a fight where, if the witch could spontaneously memorize cure serious wounds, we would have TPKed.

You may not need a life spirit shaman, but someone who can heal in a pinch will definitely come in handy. Witch is working out really well for us, and considering you don't have a 9th level caster, that would be my suggestion for new class. Taking the healing patron will get you most of the restorative spells you need, though the time patron is my personal favorite. And this being a 20 level campaign, taking time means you have access to time stop.

I know it's not really a big departure from shaman, but it's a good fit for the group.

So, some potential here.

Human Cleric of Erastil (Level 3)
Str 14
Dex 18+2
Con 14
Int 10
Wis 16
Cha 10
Feats: Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot, Rapid Shot
Domains: Animal (Feather), Good
Once you get your first Hierophant mythic tier, get the Inspired Spell ability, Mythic Domain for a path ability to boost your Animal Domain and thus your companion (maybe stacking with Boon Companion to get effective level+4 druid level for companion?) or get Legendary Weapon, and Mythic Rapid Shot. At level 3, assuming appropriate composite longbow, you'll be shooting 3 arrows at +5/+5/+5 for 1d8+2 each. Consider grabbing Deific Obedience and going into Evangelist for Erastil and gaining the ability to clone your animal companion and eventually add +Wisdom to attack AND damage rolls with a bow in close range.

Alternately;
Human Cleric of Desna (Level 3)
Str 16
Dex 14
Con 14
Int 10
Wis 18+2
Cha 10
Feats: Spell Focus (Conjuration), Augment Summoning, Superior Summoning
Domains: Travel, Luck
A much more caster-oriented option, make sure to grab Inspired Spell and Mighty Summons. Maybe take Dual Path to be able to pick from the Archmage list and eventually get Speedy Summons and Crafting Mastery. You also have the stats to pick up a spear and stab stuff if you need to. Grab Sacred Summons at level 5 and have fun dropping piles of dudes as a standard action, all of whom are getting the Bardic Performance buff.

Just some basic build ideas for you.

Wizard Archmage is insanely powerful. I'd run with that, I think.

what about Druid? or Arcanist? any options there for build.

You could build a Druid similarly to a summoner Cleric. Just be sure to take Natural Spell, and perhaps Mythic Wild Shape for something that can fly. Alternately, you could go for a more combat-oriented Druid. Stuff like Power Attack, Powerful Shape (and Mythic Powerful Shape), Planar Wild Shape, Natural Spell, maybe some teamwork feats with an animal companion.

I don't personally know much about Arcanists, but you can probably open up one of the Arcanist guides on here and pick a build that looks interesting. The mythic Archmage stuff is pretty powerful, especially Wild Arcana, Crafting Mastery, Arcane Metamastery, and Tangible Illusion.
