Sorcerer Bloodlines and Spell-Like Abilities

Rules Questions

Shadow Lodge

Can a sorcerer bloodline effect a spell-like ability? Specifically Draconic or Orc, which increase the damage dealt by spells on a +1 per die basis.

Yes

Shadow Lodge

What if the spell-like ability does not emulate any actual spell?

Yes, because:
1) Bloodline Arcana are not limited to affecting your Sorcerer spells.
2) SLAs are affected by things that affect spells, with specific exceptions (most notably metamagic).

If the ability clearly falls under the requirements of the arcana, like a kineticist's SLA blast having a damage roll, than it can be improved upon by the arcana.

I cannot find any FAQ or errata about spell-like abilities being improved or effected by anything, strangely.

FAQ or Errata isn't required, as the answer is in the rules:

Spell-Like Abilities wrote:

Usually, a spell-like ability works just like the spell of that name. A spell-like ability has no verbal, somatic, or material component, nor does it require a focus. The user activates it mentally. Armor never affects a spell-like ability's use, even if the ability resembles an arcane spell with a somatic component.

A spell-like ability has a casting time of 1 standard action unless noted otherwise in the ability or spell description. In all other ways, a spell-like ability functions just like a spell.

The italicized portions are all of the conditions that are listed as being unlike a spell; everything else functions as if it were a spell being cast. This would include effects that apply to a spell being cast, such as your bloodline abilities.

Augment Summoning: Does this feat apply to monsters summoned with summon monster or summon nature's ally spell-like abilities?
Yes.

Augment Summoning: Each creature you conjure with any summon spell

Showing that things that work on spells work on SLA.

Other FAQ
Metamagic: Can I use a metamagic feat to alter a spell-like ability?
No. Metamagic feats specifically only affect spells, not spell-like abilities. Also, spell-like abilities do not have spell slots, so you can't adjust the effective spell slot of a spell-like ability.

Showing that things that things that work off spell slots don't apply.

Of note, though, there are separate metamagic feats especially for spell-likes, though the list is a little short right now
