I was wondering if there could be a toggle for marking inactive campaigns as hidden or not hidden.
Some time back, I marked all my inactive campaigns as hidden.
At the time I thought I could "unhide" them, like you can with the "show ∅" link in the forum pages.
But it doesn't look like I can.
I just wanted to look back at a few of my inactive campaigns for some cool ideas.
I can get at them, by going through alias posting history.
That does work well enough, but it's a bit slower.

I just noticed that all the inactive campaigns I marked as hidden have reappeared.
So there's a time limit to how long they will stay hidden, then.
If anyone needs to know that.

There are two ways to hide a campaign thread.
The first is on your campaigns tab--under "Previous Campaigns" all the campaigns listed have "hide" in parentheses after them. If you click on this, the thread hides, BUT a new option appears: on the right side of the page, still in the "Previous Campaigns" section, there is a button that reads "Show All." If you click that button, all the hidden campaigns that you hid in this way show up again.
Thing is, sometimes for some reason this resets itself--I don't believe it's a specific timelapse as you suggest. There was a campaign I tended to keep hidden in previous campaigns (in fact I think one of the reasons this feature exists is because I asked for something like it), and it would randomly reappear at times. I'm not sure why this is, except I think it tends to happen when the boards are updated or something is reset. You can rehide the thread if this happens (and again unhide it using "Show All").
The OTHER way to hide a campaign thread is the same way you hide anything else on the boards--using the ∅ button. If you want to unhide this thread, the "show ∅" button should work--although I am not sure if "show ∅" works automatically for that entire forum, or if you need to be on the specific forum page where the thread should show up---if the thread was from five years ago and you've no idea where it'd be at this point, it might be hard to find the right page to get it to reappear. If you really want it, you might try emailing Paizo to see if they can help you out.
Notably, if you hide a campaign thread with the ∅ button, the "Show All" button on the "Previous Campaigns" list will NOT work to make it appear--you do have to use "Show ∅" in the subforum. On the other side of things, while using "hide" under "Previous Campaigns" sometimes resets and the item stops being hidden, if you use the ∅ button to hide a thread, I have never seen it reappear later. This is the opposite of what you want, but if you really, really never want to see a thread again, the ∅ is a better way to go. If you want to hide things to de-clutter but might want to unhide easily later to look at past adventure, the hide command under "Previous campaigns" is the better option.
And that is probably more than anyone wanted to know about hiding and showing hidden campaign threads.
