1 person marked this as a favorite.

Realized something with the Jingasa of the soldier who has everything useful, so he bought this.

A crit negation consumable is worth 2000 GP per the PTD.

+1 Deflection (slotted) 2000 GP.

Jingasa = 5000

So there's 3K. For the item's second power, it's 1.5 cost per the item creation rules.

So this means that the formula is either +1 deflection (2000) + Crit negation (2000 * 1.5) or Crit negation (2000) + +1 deflection (2000 * 1.5)

Bracelet of Second Chances:

Aura moderate conjuration; CL 9th
Slot wrists; Price 15,750 gp; Weight —

DESCRIPTION
This bracelet is adorned with seven coral beads carved in intricate designs.

When a critical hit or sneak attack is confirmed on the wearer, as an immediate action before the damage is rolled, he can choose to convert the critical hit into a normal hit. Each time the wearer negates a critical hit or sneak attack in this manner, one bead shatters. When all seven are used up, the bracelet itself crumbles into powder.

CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS

Craft Wondrous Item, breath of life; Cost 7,875 gp.

Basically, negate one crit is equal in price to one use of Breath of Life (2250 gp). Which I think is fair.
Breath of Life can save your life and heals you, but negating a crit can prevent you from ever being in that situation, while being able to keep fighting during the time when you should have been out of the fight.

When I was eyeballing the crit property, I used BoL as a guideline too.
