Deepsight feat + Permanent Darkvision spell

Rules Questions

Deepsight increases someone's Darkvision from 60ft. to 120ft.
Could someone actually take this feat if he has permanent darkvision casted upon himself?
is that considered meeting the prerequisites?

I understand that this might sound stupid, but if someone actually has Darkvision casted upon himself for a very long time, lets say for 2 levels, its actually like these whole 2 levels he is being preparing for Deepsight feat to increase his Darkvision...

The rule of thumb is that if it lasts 24 hours or more (constant, not recast every minute like a cantrip) you can use it for prereqs. So yes.

If the darkvision gets dispelled the feat won't be any use until you get the prereq again though.

So i guess permanent Darkvision cast on someone should do the trick

elves and half elves have alt traits that give dark vision i thinkyou might look into that

I think you are confusing the rule for stat enhancement for a general rule. I know of no 24 hour general rule that changes effects from cannot-use-for-prereq to can-use-for-prereq. Not even the above mentioned stat rule.

As to using the feat on a spell effect, I don't think that works.

Not that it matters for home campaigns, but those traits are forbidden in PFS.
