Anniversary Edition of The Rise of the Runelords

This creature has the following attack:
Melee: bite +28 (4d6+10/19-20), 2 claws +28 (2d6+10/19-20), tongue +23 (2d8+5, 1d4 WIS drain)

Is there no saving throw with the Wisdom drain? I wasn't able to locate anything notes regarding this in the creature's description in the book, nor with the base creature (hound of tindalos; which doesn't have a tongue attack). Am I missing something, or is this just a really nasty attack?

I'm hardly a rules-master but I can't find any origin for the power other than the description of "Unique Hound of Tindalos."

Lame reason for accepting it as written: there's a errata thread out here constructed by diligent, detail-oriented (ie, anal retentive) folk and it does not reference any issue with the tongue attack.

See Strife2002's full list near the bottom of page 9.

I don't think this is a mistake. It's just a unique, dangerous creature with a one-off ability. It's a real threat against high-level characters.

I would be more surprised if it did have a saving throw. I can't think of any critter that does ability damage as part of it's attack granting a saving throw.
