Oh, my Duelist can serve as a tank as well. He goes into battle with a rapier in one hand and a wand of mirror image in the other. When you combine mirror image with an AC of 30 (38 vs. AoOs) you can usually take a lot of swings at you.

Because these interactive specials tend to have more combats than a typical scenario, they tend to favor characters that don't have limited daily resources. Prepared casters can feel pretty burnt out by the time you get to the final battles, so I think I will stick with my Duelist. With his 16 Int and great UMD, he can work most arcane scrolls and therefore has functioned as a hedge wizard on teams in the past.

From what I know from last year, if you requested a particular GM at a particular slot, the musterers typically worked to make it happen. Having the entire party together from the get-go makes it easier.

HQ has not yet defined the logistics of such a request for this year nor decided if it'll be accommodated or not, but if it is I can almost guarantee it would require the GM to be aware of and specifically request said party be pre-mustered for their table. Unfortunately we have had some issues in the past with GMs being requested without their knowledge and worst case players demanding to be seated at a specific GMs table despite said GM already having had a full table seated. It is not "normal" procedure for a marshal to send players to a specific GM by request so we would certainly have a specific process for adjudicating such requests that would require pre-approval from HQ.

4/5

I've marshaled and it's controlled chaos. It would be nice to have a specific GM but isn't GenCon about mingling?
I'd suggest you talk to your friend and see what table he's at as GMs tend to stay at one table, then talk to your marshal early (if you can) as the charts go by table numbers. As Bob said - no guarantees.

IT IS EASIER if a whole table stays together as the marshal can slot you at a table all at once. Just elect one spokesperson and give him the tickets to show your marshal (we check that you have the right game and generics seat last).

Thus my comment says that whomever we get will be a great GM.

Yes even you Jack.

If some procedure is implemented than we will about see working within it.

I snagged a ticket for Serpent's Rise Thursday morning, if anyone else hasn't played it yet.

Ooo! I might get the Great TOZ at my table? I am running that scenario twice on Thursday!

I actually did that at my first GenCon, 3 years ago. I had the Roy Greenhilt avatar on the nametag, too. Only one person noticed.

It really doesn't come up that much. I was far more visible as VC than as TOZ.

I think I may have already failed on that one.

So for Serpent's Ire, that is 349 left out of 960 or 37% unsold.

And for the Maelstrom, that is 266 out of 960 or 28% unsold.

What have the events done in the past? All sold out?

I have just purchased a ticket for Thursday's 8:00 PM PFS Special #7-98: Serpents' Ire and am available to join a group.

Any groups looking to pre-muster for the FRI-SUN running of "All in for Immortality"?

I'd be most happy to have the chance to have a table ready to go!

Grand Lodge 5/5

Have a 5-6 ticket for the Friday special with a Swashbuckler 6 I've been saving for it (though I have other options). I might also be interested in something Sunday and possibly a lobby game on Wednesday (Scotty's schedule doesn't suit my arrival time)

Silver Crusade 4/5

I could do a non-Scotty's game on Wednesday, too. There are usually places to grab a table in the various hotel lobbies nearby.

I'll be arriving in the afternoon, so maybe a late afternoon dinner/game would work. I don't want to start after 6 PM or so, because I have to be in the Sagamore at 7:30 AM, and I really want to go to bed early, at least for the first night there.

Grand Lodge 5/5

I should be at the hotel by 1030 or so (I'm flying out at the crack of dawn) and will have to be done by 5 or so.

Too early for me. As I said, I plan to arrive in the afternoon, probably around 3pm. Since I'm driving, that's very subject to change, depending mostly on how lazy I am getting started in the morning.

Even if we don't have time for a game, does anyone want to get together Wednesday evening, maybe for dinner or drinks? My usual crowd won't be there, so I have more time to just hang out and hopefully meet some of the people I've talked to here on the forums over the years.

4/5

What about Sunday afternoon/evening? We won't be leaving town till Monday morning.

Silver Crusade 4/5

I could hang out for lunch and meeting people after GMing Sunday morning, but I need to drive home that day, so I can't stay too late.

I can't stay out gawdawful late on Wednesday, because I have to be up Thursday for volunteering. However, I am game to hang out or whatnot some on Wednesday (currently only signed up for the afternoon slot at Scotty's).

Also game to hang out or whatnot on Sunday (leaving on Monday).

So am I late to party? I got busy for a couple weeks. We have mustering done? Any room for some high level games?

If you're interested, I have a Skald 6, Magus 6, Bloodrager 6, and either a Rogue or (more likely) Oracle 6 looking for two more. I personally hate the chaos of mustering out in the hallway and would love to have my table ready.

Definitely. Flutter gets hit particularly hard as she mostly buffs the party pre fight, so half her spells are gone before things get started.

A wand of channel the gift goes a LONG way. Every other round a third level spell isn't going to win a DPR race, but it beats going back to your first level "i shoot it with my crossbow" tactics.

Works nicely for me.

BNW, that wand is a pretty cool idea. 11,250gp for 50 charges, compared to 9000gp for a single 3rd level Pearl of Power, is a steal.

You get a barkskin, you get a barkskin, YOU get a barkskin...

Gotta buy the swarmbane clasp and golembane scarab to hand out...

Looking for

Sunday morning "Captives in toil" An adorable bundle of fluffy death level 7.

Saterday morning Ageless ambitions. I can either do the adorable bundle of fluffy death or Flutter. The adorable bundle has done the storyline , but it would be a shame not to play Flutter at least once at gencon.

This'll be my first GenCon in Indy. What are the odds of me getting my Will Call badge and pre-ordered tickets in less than an hour?

4/5

That entirely depends on when you stand in line. The odds are decent Wednesday afternoon. I have no idea how bad it will be Thursday morning.

Pretty much this. Thursday the line will be LOOOOOOOOOONG, but I'm told it moves. It still could take well more than an hour though. Friday and saturday it is reasonable.
