I am ridiculously proud to introduce the first book written by one of my most enduring friends (a fellow who played in the first game I ever GM'd):
INTO THE VEIL!
Over the past year I helped Nick develop a seed we worked into the core Veranthea Codex book, creating a truly unique and exceptional addition to the world in its shrouded north pole. Beyond the Perpetual Storm are tesseract seas that contain an inescapable nautical realm of adventure and mystery, the playground of an epic intergalactic lich, his intelligent forge gone rogue, and a wild automaton known only as the Carambal! In addition to a full-page full color map to get around with, the PDF includes a ton of amazing locales (every settlement gets a statblock!), encounter tables, and obstacles that can be used in any games set on the high seas.
But there's more—especially if you're playing in Veranthea! The full mechanics for a brand new race of aliens (alterrans) with favored class options, feats, spells, magic items, equipment, the whole kit and kaboodle! So much more awaits you though, from magnetite (a new material) to the silent sentinel mask magic item, diamondwire webway trap, aetherworld venom poison, aethervirus disease, clockwork arbalester, and of course, some kaiju goodness (the Great Crawth Mecha, Xenonaut Mecha, and colossus strain alcynobites)! All of the most powerful figures in the region are provided as well, making for a fantastic resource for any Veranthea GM looking to expand their game beyond the existing core book.
In addition to being amazingly cool in concept and execution, the PDF is littered with hyperlinks to the PRD! If you use a tablet or your PC to run your game, everything you'll need for sessions in the Veil is literally at your fingertips.
