Cavalier Orders in Kingmaker

Kingmaker

I am still in the setup process for my Kingmaker campaign and was just asked if someone can make a Cavalier. This looks like a great fit for the campaign. Looking for some input around Orders for the cavalier.
What Orders fit into this campaign and which probably do not?

I play a GMPC for the Kingmaker campaign I run for my players; that character is a Cavalier (who is also a Barbarian and Fighter). The Order I selected for that character was The Order of the Flame. It is fun to play at the lower levels but at mid and higher level, it gets progressively harder to get the glorious challenge going, but that's o.k. for me, I like how it fits into the character's personality/theme.

But for greatest amount of versatility, I would recommend the Order of the Sword.

Cheers!

Looking strictly from a flavor standpoint:

Good:

The Order of the Blue Rose's emphasis on peace and diplomacy is a really good fit if the party wants to promote kingdom growth through diplomacy rather than conquest.

The Order of the Flame is all about personal glory. It might lead a PC to make bad decisions about mass combat or running the kingdom, but it's damn good thematically.

The Order of the Hammer is all about strength. This could create issues if your players prefer a peaceful approach. But I also see a LOT of RP potential if the GM uses, for example, Hargulka's Monster Kingdom.

The Order of the Lion pledges himself to the ruler of a kingdom. This is practically tailor-made for a player who wants to take on the role of loyal second to the kingdom's ruler.

I think the Order of the Penitent is fantastic for a player character who comes from a bandit background (esp. if he takes the brigand trait). Building a kingdom is like the perfect redemption story for a reformed bandit.

The Order of the Shield is all about protecting the common folk. This seems tailor-made for a player who wants to take the Councilor role.

The Order of the Sword is home to your basic chivalrous knight. This is pretty damn Kingmaker-y.

With a bit of tweaking, I think the Order of Vengeance has a lot of potential, especially in the Kingmaker endgame.

Neither Good nor Bad:

The Order of the Dragon is also a pretty good one, but it's a general purpose order, really.

The Order of the Cockatrice seems appropriate for some types of kingdoms.

The Order of the Guard is a lot like the order of the Cockatrice. Such a cavalier might swear to guard the kingdom (or some part of it), but it doesn't seem to click one way or the other with Kingmaker.

The Order of the Land seems appropriate for Erastil-worship, but it doesn't really seem to hook well into Kingmaker.

The Order of the Paw, thematically, fits well with a sort of ranger-style character. But it doesn't really hook directly into Kingmaker.

The Order of the Scales are glorified debt collectors. They don't seem either good or bad for a Kingmaker PC.

The Order of the Shroud is all about fighting undead. In vanilla Kingmaker, he has some things to do, but the undead aren't an overriding theme. However, if you move the setting to Ustalav or Geb, this guy's your man.

The Order of the Staff doesn't really tie well into a KM theme, but he doesn't hurt either.

The Order of the Star is somewhat situational. These guys are holy knights. If your game has heavily religious themes, or the churches are major political players in the kingdom, this guy will have something to do. Otherwise, not a lot going on.

The Order of the Tome (preserve knowledge!) has potential role in Kingmaker, but it's not going to tie directly to the AP.

Bad:

The Order of the Beast is about keeping civilization from encroaching on nature. Since Kingmaker is about turning a nature into civilization, probably not a good match.

The Order of the Eastern Star is about battling otherworldly threats. You could flavor the fey as such, but thematically it seems outside the confines of Kingmaker.

The Order of the First Law is appropriate to Rahadoum, but not for a campaign where Erastil-worship takes center stage for the first couple modules.

The Order of the Green has some of the same problems as the Order of the Beast.

The Stolen Lands have a lot of secrets, and the players uncover them over the course of the AP. I don't think the Order of the Seal -- which is all about preserving secrets -- is a great choice for a KM cavalier.
