Restoration Druid

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Is there any way to as a druid get access to the spell Restoration (besides crafting)? I would like to play a healing druid, but not without the ability to remove permanent negative levels.

Hmm upon consulting this, I'd say not really, except the samsarans. There must be other abilities that give similar effects though.

I bid you to please find it. As far as I know, there is no other spell with similar effect.

I'll have a look.
Upon closer investigation there does not appear to be many ways. The best options are dipping/prestiging, take a look at this for the exact same discussion.

They have a few good ideas.

Maybe you can play a cleric that's built more like a druid? For instance, the Nature domain gets you an animal companion, and the Boon Companion feat would make it as powerful as a druid's companion.

What exactly do you want from being a druid?

Druid spell list. From several versions of Reincarnate to Siege of Trees silliness.

The Pathfinder Savant prestige class would let you add the Restoration spell to your spell list at Druid 8/Pathfinder Savant 2. At that point you would have the spellcasting ability of a 9th level druid and could add Restoration to your Druid spell list as a 5th level spell.

A shaman may possibly be close enough to a druid for your tastes (they share a lot of their spell list)

I don't like giving up a level for it though.

The Samsaran alternate racial ability Mystic Past Life is really the only good option.
