Melancholy and the Infinite Sadness - Sects of the Lost Prince

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

One of the things I love most about Golarion is that there is a ton of stuff left unwritten. It allows me to expand on things in my games and invent new things to further enrich the game world. A part of the setting that always interests me are the divine being they have and how the interact with their followers and each other. On one of the Pathfinder FB pages I play a little game of creativity where as ask about what kind of character you would make to follow a god. This week I'm looking at The Lost Prince of the Eldest, Fey Lord of forgotten things, sadness and solitude.

Sitting at our theoretical gaming table, our GM turns to us and says, "All of the characters must be followers of The Lost Prince, although they do not need to be divine casters”. What character do you make? Who is she? Why has she chosen The Lost Prince as her patron? In what ways does she further the Fey lord’s goals? Why would she be attracted to this Fey Lords doctrine?

I also look to answer those questions for myself when I create these sects of The Lost Prince. for my campaigns.

Sulky teenagers.

Yeah I kinda added the overly dramatic elvish poets to fill that goth role.

A clinically depressed person who has difficulties feeling anything. She tries to find a way to cure her ailment, but it is hard for her to care for anything anymore. The person works with others out of necessity, but would rather remain alone. An Alchemist or maybe a (Transmuter) Wizard would work. (Any sulky teenagers will receive a dose of a mild poison from her so that they finally have a reason to complain about something.)

A person who has lost her memory who is trying to piece together her former life. I'm thinking a Mesmerist trying to find ways to send herself in ever deeper trances.

Interesting. I especially like the mesmerist. Can get into other minds but doesn't really know her own, I think that could be a fun character to play.

Here is a character I made who follows The Lost Prince.

I try to have all my titles be a play on words or a phrase. But thanks.
