Niklas Frostborn

Advice

So I'm bored, I'm studying for finals week, and I have another idea for a character whom I would love some help with and to make sure I have some clarification with my build. Niklas Frostborn is my latest attempt at a kind of blaster monk, a human monk that uses a combination of the MoMS style feats (Dragon Style, Marid Style), Elemental Fist, and ki powers in order bring icy death to all of those that stand in his way. And yes, ice damage is the key here as he is an Ulfen male who seeks to harness the power of winter through means other than the hated magiks of the Winter Witches.

To start with I plan to get the human's ki pool increase every level to increase his ki pool as much as possible. Next I go MoMS and Qinggong so I can grab Dragon Style at level 1, Dragon Ferocity at level 2 (I am still unsure if you can grab the feats in the style path without needing the prereqs as a MoMS), Elemental Fist at level 3 (using Dragon Ferocity to gnab it without the prereqs), Marid Style at level 6, Dragon Breath at level 10, and Cold Ice Strike at level 14.

At some point I also plan on getting two Rings of Ki Mastery in order to get my ki expenditure down so that Cold Ice Strike only costs 1 ki use per activation. Is there anything I have done wrong or am missing with what I have so far?

Hm, I suppose I should elaborate on my selection and streamline so I can show where my build really needs some blanks filled.

My Character Build:

Niklas Frostborn, Qinggong/ Master of Many Styles Monk.

Str: 16 Dex: 14 Con: 14
Int: 10 Wis: 15 Cha: 8

Feats
Level 1 Feat: Snapping Turtle Style?
Level 1 Human Feat: ?
Level 1 Style Feat: Dragon Style
Level 2 Style Feat: Dragon Ferocity
Level 3 Feat: Elemental Fist (ala Dragon Ferocity)
Level 5 Feat: Marid Style
Level 6 Style Feat: Marid Spirit
Level 7 Feat: ?
Level 9 Feat: Dragon Roar
Level 10 Feat: Wildcard
Level 11 Feat: Marid Coldsnap

Ki Power
Level 4: Barkskin in place of Slow Fall
Level 5: ?
Level 11: Dragon Breath
Level 15: Cold Ice Strike

This is what I have so far, so what should I take to fill in the blanks and/or need to change in order to make this feasible (I am not quite sure if I can take the feats in the style path outside of the feats with style in the name as bonus feats)? Apologies for the crudeness, this is my first time trying such a thing.

Bump.

Bumpity bump bump.

Is Extra Ki a feat you can use?

Is there a feat or something else you can take that converts cold damage to something else in case you run into the cold immune?

I certainly think I could use it, however as a human I can get an extra 5 from my FCA so I am not hardup for it. I have not seen anything that can, however after level 8 I can technically use my Elemental Fist with the rest of the normal elements and with Dragon Breath I can change the type of damage and AoE each time I cast it. Dragon's Roar uses my unarmed strike damage plus any elemental fist damage if I expend one use of it when I use Dragon's Roar. So yes, I can potentially get around the cold immunity relatively easily, although I won't exactly be at maximum efficiency.

Neat! :-)

Power Attack??? I'm not sure if your 3/4 BAB will be accurate enough for it.

One of the inherent advantages of being a Master of Many Styles is that at level 8 I get an untyped increase to my to hit equal to the number of styles I have going. Power attack would be nice, yes. Although I must admit since I kind of planned for him to be unarmed it would not do too well, considering that fists are light weapons (although I kind of want him to worship Yamatsumi, whose favored weapon is a lovely monk weapon known as the Tetsubo). If I was allowed to use said weapon I would probably pick it up in a heart beat, although at level 2 I add my strength twice to my first fist attack in a round so maybe not.
