I saw on BoardGameGeek that it had been delayed again to 4/28.

On their forums, one of their staff posted that they were coordinating with the App Stores (Google & Apple, I believe), and that it had slid from Tuesday (26th) to Thursday (28th).
They went on to say that if, for some unforeseen reason, it didn't make this week's push by those storefronts, then it would be the following Thursday (May 5th), or they'd be on the phones wanting to know why.

Just installed it. Will have to wait till at least lunch break to try it out. Although, with this login stuff, I am guessing you have to have internet connection? That will be a challenge with work and a wifi-only tablet. If so, I'll have to wait till I get home.
Have to admit, this is the first time in a very long time I am contemplating calling in sick to work to play a game instead!

Downloaded it last night. Played it all the way through. There are some issues with wrong math periodically but it did not hurt the game. I had it crash during the Black Fang scenario but it came back to where I was in the game. I was unable to login as well or even create an account. Overall, this is a beautiful game. Once, the bugs are fixed, it will be perfect.

Seems to be having trouble on android. It lets you make purcahses but doesn't give you anything for them. Also connectivity on launch was constantly going up and down, generating tons of "You are disconnected/You are reconnected prompts" in front of the UI.
Today seems better on connectivity, but the purchase issues haven't been resolved.

Folks,
Discussing the game here is fine, but please remember that if you need technical assistance with the Pathfinder Adventures app, or find any bugs, you should post on Obsidian's forum: http://forums.obsidian.net/forum/97-pathfinder/.

The game creates a playfab account for you when you log in the first time. It looks at your Google Play(Android) account or your Gamecenter(iOS) account to create it for you. Double check that you are signed in to one of those.
The game is currently out for tablets with phone and PC coming later on. It works on some phones but keep in mind it is not official supported on phones yet and not optimized for them.

You don't think the game should perhaps mention that?

It does. There's a a box at the top left of the main screen (just to the right of the Paizo golem) that says, 'Logged in to GameCenter' or 'Logged in to Google Play'.
Parody |
Other things that box says include "PlayFab" and "Link Social Gaming Network". The second one means "Not Logged In".
It takes a while to log in for me and doesn't give any indication that it's trying; normally I have to hit Continue, tell it to Login, and then wait for a bit. Hopefully that'll get better in time. I'd also like to see them add more feedback on what's going on.

It doesn't tell you when you're NOT logged in (which is the actual problem). Something I think they should have mentioned (or just disabled the store if you're not logged in).

Okay. Mine says that (FWIW, I thought "Link" was the name of some social network as it had a little green icon - I didn't realise it was an instruction). Thanks for clarifying.
It also keeps warning me I'm not logged in and gives me a "log in" button which doesn't do anything. Nor does it mention which third party site I'm supposed to log in to.
Pretty poor, in my opinion. I'll come back in six months and see if it's any better.

You're welcome. If you'd like to add your experiences and/or suggestions, I made a thread about login feedback over at the Obsidian forums.

The Login button does something: it triggers an attempt to log in to the game-related social part of your ecosystem (Google Play Games on Android, Game Center on iOS) and link it to their backend. If you haven't used those before, you'll want to open the related application on your device and set them up. (Enable an account, let games use them to sign in, and if you're like me disable a bunch of notifications and social network stuff you don't want.)
The problem is that login attempts happen in the background with no feedback until the eventual success or failure dialog, which can take a minute or two. If you hit Login multiple times, you'll get multiple delayed responses.
All of this may change in the future when they enable Multiplayer and linking accounts across platforms. ::shrug::
Unless you're like me and waiting for a Windows version, I don't think you'll need to wait six months. It's only been a day since release; give them a week or two as they nail down server issues and the wide variety of devices people use and see where it is then.

Cheers. I really appreciate the explanation - I've heard of GameCentre but never used it. (I'll be disabling pretty much everything if I'm ever forced to).
The lack of feedback (or feedback that doesn't make sense to the clueless, anyhow) is what bugs me really. I've tried to use apps before which tell me quite blatantly that I can't go any further without logging in to game centre. I just don't understand why that kind of thing isn't standard.
I also didn't get any 'failure to log in' notification despite multiple attempts. That would have made a big difference to my irritation. So perhaps my IPad is too old or something.

Computers. Who needs 'em. :(
This had me frustrated for a good 10 minutes too.
