Control Undead Feat Will save

Rules Questions

Me and a friend have been discusing about the will save the inteligent undead have to make every day to resist this deat, he argues that you can just simpely command the undead to fail the will save and they'll never break out of it while i argue that they shuld still be abel.

I have yeat to find anything that solidifies if either or is the case and if you can just keep the control of them this easly.

No, there isn't an in game concept to say "Fail your will save." That's very meta.

At the very end, the rules obviously don't intend for this to be possible or else why bother putting in a reminder to make saves after the original save.

I think you mean Command Undead... Control Undead is the spell.

Command Undead:
"Intelligent undead receive a new saving throw each day to *resist your command*."

You can't command something to fail their resistance to your command. If you allow that, you neuter every intelligent undead in the game to be the sock puppets of Necromancers everywhere. As a DM, I would never allow that to slide... they get their save, and if they succeed at it, there is a very good chance they will be more than a little angry at being controlled. In fact, a really intelligent undead might feign failure of the save and continue to act accordingly (using Bluff) in order to wait for the opportune time to exact revenge.

Thanks for the answears and sorry for the misspelling ^^'

Like the other said, it's probably not a good idea. There are ways around it, but usually saying 'Fail your save..." is not going to work.

For instance, if you have a target charmed, you could tell them that you are casting bull's strength or something and as such they may choose not to resist. This is because they believe you are their friend and ally. In the case of actual forced control, like dominate or commanding undead or something, I think in most cases even where you have total control they are still considered to be actively resisting or fighting against the power inside their head, (which is why it's easier to tell when someone is dominated rather than charmed.) So, no commanding someone to fail saving throws.
