So I might be playing a Shoanti Shaman for a RotR AP and I have a question involving the Possessed Shaman's Shared Skill ability and the Spirit Animal familiar. Does my familiar also get ranks in the two skills I designate for Shared Skill? I'm using them on Intimidate and Diplomacy so I really don't care if my familiar gets it, but I would love some clarification.
Now that I think about it would Skill Focus also be affected by Shared Skill? As in if I were level 10 and therefor effectively had 10 points in diplomacy would it increase the skill focus bonus to +6 if I had skill focus in diplomacy?

It's murky, but I think the answer is No to both.
They are effective ranks, not actual ranks, and you can put real ranks in those skills.
