Summon Nature's Ally - who in PFS has access?

Rules Questions

Scarab Sages

PFS question regarding classes. I want to have a caster that uses Summoned Nature's ally. Which PFS legal classes (and archetypes) have access?

Very confused which summoner archetypes are legal, plus having trouble finding the other classes and archetypes with access.

In particular, I'm looking for a Fey summoner, so archetypes like the Naturalist don't work for me.

A quick glance at Archives of Nethys shows Summon Nature's Ally as Druid, Ranger, Hunter, and Shaman.

The Fey Caller unchained Summoner archetype is legal from the looks of things. Ultimate Intrigue pg 71.

I was Lucky?

I have a Summoner that was a First Worlder, an Archtype that changes the Eidolon from an outsider to a Fey, and has the character use Summon Nature's Ally instead of the norm. He also adds the Gremlins to his list as he levels.

I have looked at the Fey Summoner, and it is not the same, nor as good, as the First Worlder.

Wow, really screwed up the question, though I can see you totally answered it as I asked it. So thanks for that.

Okay, so I'm looking classes and archetypes with access to Summon Nature's ally. They don't need to be the Summoner Class. They do need to be PFS legal for new characters.

The character concept is a Summoner, but being a summoner isn't a class requirement.

Fey caller sounds interesting, but I lack the budget for more books this month, so ultimate intrigue will have to wait. <sad face>

So far, my list is as follows:

Classes with access
Druid
Ranger
Hunter

Classes with choice dependent access
Oracle (Nature mystery only, specific revelation)
Shaman (Nature spirit only, specific hex)

Archetypes
Spirit Whisperer (Shaman's nature spirit, 5th level, specific hex)
Spell Sage (2nd level, dramatically increases casting time, 1/day)
Fey Caller (?)
Spirit Guide (Shaman's nature spirit, 3rd level, specific hex)

Prestige Classes
?
Other
Order of the Tome (Divination selection, 8th level, from scrolls only)
Any class by wand (Use Magic Device)

Suggestions welcome.

You can do it with any Oracle mystery if you take the Spirit Guide archetype. That allows you access to one shaman spirit and a hex. You can then take the Nature Spirit and Friend to Animals hex.

One word of warning, the Charisma bonus to saves is for all animals within 30', not just friendly ones.

Added to the list. Only downer is that the spirit and hex are added and lost each day, so the the Oracle only has access on a temporary basis, which would prevent feat access that require having Nature's ally.

Which is no longer legal save to a grandfathered APG summoner. Archetypes that change the form of the eidolon are not legal for the Unchained Summoner which the only one allowed for new characters.

The Preservationist Alchemist gets Summon Nature's Ally 1, 2, 4, 5, 7 and 9

Voice of the Wild Bard gets the ability to choose druid or ranger spells as a bard spell known, so could be used for Summon Nature's Ally spells.

Don't forget Animal Speaker bard!

So. What feat are you looking to get that we're doing all this research for?

Hmm

I'll add that bard.

No feat or exploit. I just got a few of the PFS Mite models and fell in love with them. I'm trying to figure out what my options are for PFS.

I'm currently running a Core Druid and the summons are really lacking (and that mite was lacking to begin with...). So I think I'll amend my core character to go in another direction and create a non-core character for this concept. And for that, I want to know what my options are.

And on a side note, the one really awesome feature of the Mites is that they speak Undercommon, so you can give them commands with a normal language (1 rank in linguistics). Last session, I summoned one just to find out if the basilisk was around the corner or not - it was. An amazing use of a 1st spell resulting in zero stone PCs for that session. Although lacking in combat, the Mites have awesome perception based abilities (120ft darkvision, scent, and low light vision).

Plus the models are really cool.

Hmm...can no longer edit the original...

Yeah, I have a Grandfathered in one. He is a character mostly on the sideline and has a bit of GM credit. I have played him before, but there is a disagreement between me and the (then) VC, which is also my good friend, about being able to summon creatures (Summon Nature's Ally) whilst my Eidolon is still out. (This is unclear in the Archtype's writeup)

I go with normal ability except it uses the differnt summons and adds Gremlins to the mix.
