Monk flurry of blows question.

Advice

What is the best way to make a monk that uses two fighting fans deal as much damage as an unarmed strike? I plan on using the fans and unarmed damage. And what feats are best for an unchained monk?

Well, fighting fans aren't exactly bad. They just lack the scaling dice that the unarmed strikes get. But otherwise, they are the same light weapons subject to x1 str/power attack. Their main advantage is that they can get special materials like silver early on.

The only immediate problems are thus:
1. Mixing unarmed strikes and manufactured weapons tends to not be worth it. The fan will need full cost enhancement, while unarmed strikes needs twice that cost for enhancement and takes up your neck slot (which means you probably have to get barkskin ki power and spend ki to get natural armor bonuses).

There is another option for the body slot that only costs x1.5 cost for unarmed strikes, but it only covers a certain number of attacks. It is not suited for a full flurry, and more works for this mixed weapon style you suggest. Unfortunately, I would not suggest this route for monk- One of the main advantages of flurry is that you can do TWF cheaply (since you only need one weapon for all attacks), which means your attacks are boosted since you can just invest everything into one really good weapon. Anyway, a comparison between your choices: Regular weapons are easier to enhance, while unarmed strikes are supported with a ton of tricks. Which brings me to....

2. If you use the fan, you probably need aesthetic style in order to get it to work wtih flying kick (your 'move and full attack' option). Cause if you don't do that, I honestly have to ask "why not make a sohei instead if you are using weapons?".

Sohei, by the way, can get weapon training with the monk group. With gloves of dueling, they are on par with unchained for standard action attacks, and they surpass it with flurries. They can also use light armor while flurrying- monks usually get better AC unarmored... after a ton of levels and boosts to dex/wis. Early on, it is hard to get good AC as a monk without turtling, so sohei are great for making something survivable while going str focused. Later on, you would switch to unarmored once you can get better AC with it (unless you are going unarmed, in which case, you would go armored for a magic armor property that gives +2 attack/damage to unarmed strikes. Sacrifices AC for attack, but still very worth it).

What is the best way to build a character with this unchained monk archetype with a 25 point build?

Kyuubi Visionary (Monk; Kitsune)
Kyuubi visionaries are kitsune monks who use their ki in order
to manifest additional tails.
Bonus Feats: Whenever a kyuubi visionary would receive a
monk bonus feat, he receives Magical Tail instead. A kyuubi
visionary cannot select Magical Tail as a feat from character
advancement during any level that he receives Magical Tail
from his monk class levels. After he selects Magical Tail eight
times, a kyuubi visionary may select any remaining monk bonus
feats from the standard list of monk feats. This ability alters the
monk’s bonus feats.
Evoke Ki (Sp):At 1st level, 4th level, and every 4 levels
thereafter a kyuubi visionary selects one 1st-level spell
from the sorcerer/wizard spell list from the enchantment,
evocation, illusion, or transmutation schools. Spells with a
material component with more than 1 gp cannot be selected.
The kyuubi visionary can cast the selected spell as a spell-like
ability twice per day. At 8th level and every 4 levels thereafter,
the maximum spell level that he can select using this ability
increases by 1. For example, the kyuubi visionary can select a
2nd-level or lower spell at 8th level, a 3rd-level or lower spell
at 12th level, and so on. Once the kyuubi visionary has selected
a spell-like ability, it cannot be changed. This ability replaces
stunning fist.
Magical Fist (Su): At 8th level, a kyuubi visionary can
attack with his martial arts and cast spell-like abilities at the
same time. During a flurry of blows, a kyuubi visionary can cast
a single spell-like ability he possesses from his racial traits, the
Magical Tail feat, or his monk class levels with a casting time
of 1 standard action or less in place of one of the additional
attacks granted to him by his flurry of blows. If he casts the
spell defensively, he can decide to take a penalty on all attack
rolls he made during the flurry of blows, up to his Wisdom
bonus, and add the same amount as a circumstance bonus on
his concentration check. The kyuubi visionary may choose to
cast the spell first or make the weapon attacks first, but if he has
more than one attack, he cannot cast the spell between weapon
attacks. This ability replaces the monk’s 8th-level ki power.
Mystic Recall (Su): At 12th level, a kyuubi visionary can
fuel his mystic powers using his ki. As a swift action, a kyuubi
visionary can regain one use of a spell-like ability he possesses
by spending a number of points from his ki pool equal to the
spell’s level (minimum 1). The kyuubi visionary regains his use
of the chosen spell-like ability as if it had not been cast. This
ability replaces abundant step.
