Can my Camel use a climbing kit?

Rules Questions

Can my bonded mount (nature Oracle - 6 Int) camel use a climbing kit? And would it be able to climb a knotted rope or ladder. It has a climb score of +8 and 3HD.

Probably not.

Camels don't have hands and the climbers kit uses ropes, pitons, and other climbing gear. They have no reasonable way to climb a knotted rope.

A vertical ladder? Probably wouldn't let it climb that.

Hell, I wouldn't let it climb a vertical wall either.

I don't know how any animal without hands could really climb anything that is particularly vertical (without special adaptations like claws, adhesion pads, etc). But those types of creatures have climbs speeds normally.

Except goats. But I'm pretty sure they use magic.

You could take Evolved Companion and get it a climb speed. Then it doesn't even need the kit.

But he's got teeth and heart and a will to climb!!!! Don't put labels on other peoples' camels.

I, for one, would never attempt to tell a camel what it could or could not do.

Although I have seen a snake climb a tree-trunk.
