Permanency

Rules Questions

So a player wants to cast Permanency on the following spells for some of the part members

Ranger
Resistance - Which I believe is okay
See Invisibility - Based on rules he can not, this can only be cast on himself correct?

Monk
Magic Fang, Greater - How does this effect flurry of blows?
Do any of the monk abilities supersede this ability making it null?
Is it worth it?

Resistance is fine, though the ranger should realize that it will not stack with a cloak of resistance.

See invisibility is caster-only, correct. If the PC with permanency has Scribe Scroll he could make a scroll with both spells and give it to the ranger to UMD (since the same person must cast both).

Greater magic fang is what the players would like it to be, because

CRB wrote:
A monk's unarmed strike is treated as both a manufactured weapon and a natural weapon for the purpose of spells and effects that enhance or improve either manufactured weapons or natural weapons.

Whether the monk is using flurry of blows or not is irrelevant, it's the use of unarmed strike that matters. Offhand I can't think of any monk abilities that grant enhancement bonuses to UAS, so it shouldn't get superseded.

GMF would definitely be worth it if not for the ever-present danger at high levels of someone casting dispel magic on you, which is the Achilles' heel of permanency in general. As it is the players need to assess the risk.

I'd allow you to use Possession to put caster only spells on another body.
