My Hell's Vengeance AP volumes have begun to arrive and I'm noticing a definite difference in materials... the paper appears (a little) more glossy and both the paper and cover are very flimsy compared to previous AP's. Is there some sort of announcement regarding this change? If so I haven't been able to find it.
This really lowers the quality of the books in my opinion, making a perishable item even more prone to damage. What gives?

...it can get a little confusing at times.
I compared to a random Mummy's Mask book and... maybe. The overall flexibility of the book felt softer... maybe. It's subtle if it's real, and I never would have noticed it independently. It could also be I'm imagining it. Either way, it's not enough of a change that I care.
I noticed that when I skimed my volume #2 of Hell's Vengeance. It feel somewhat less stiff. Maybe the covers are thinner.
I concur with DanyRay. The covers of HV#2 aren't as stiff as usually. They are already as creased as my Iron Gods books.
Inner Sea Faiths covers seem to be normal.

All,
This was not intentional and not a change. Our printer just used a different paper brand instead of the one we typically use on this specific book. That's why it feels thinner while also appearing more glossy. The books before and after have the traditional paper brand so all of our worlds will be back to normal come the next release.
Thanks Jeff for sharing what happen with us. Good to hear it's a one shot and it will return at normal with next release
