are they normally that short in page count or what for 30 pages for 15 bucks i was wondering if i just got a small book compared to normal?

They are all 36 pages, including covers. At least according to the pdfs.

You could always just buy the pdf and save five dollars. I am not sure if it addresses things, they have been the same price and length for years.

You can't subscribe to PDFs, but you can buy the PDF once the product is available.
