Demon Store Names

Wrath of the Righteous

I do not know if this is the correct forum or not.

I am currently running a Wrath of the Righteous campaign. We are about to finish book 3 and head into book 4. Book 4 involves

spoiler:
travel to a large metropolis in the Abyss - The Midnight Isles.

I would like suggestions for demon names and names of stores that the PCs could possibly interact with during their visit. And the possible wares of said stores. No prices or anything. Just random names that I could use.

Gulmocks freshly squished Potions

Elrezzakiehls Emporium of excellent Excesses

Smash & Grab's

Bloodcharger's Supplies

Enchanted Entropium

Honest Stan's slightly used Souls

Aunt Lilly's little Slave Shop

Shadow Lodge

Does the AP not include those details for you?

Names are not my strong point, but I can help with merchandise. Some of these fit Guru-Meditation's suggestions.

Poisons.

Weapons, with much of the stock having properties like Flaming, Unholy, Vicious, Wounding, Vampiric, Injecting, Gory, Cruel, Bane (Good Outsiders), or Bane (Devils). Some weapons may be evil and intelligent. Sinister specific weapons include Bloodletting Kukri, Assassin's Dagger, Lash of the Howler, Nine Lives Stealer, Sword of Life Stealing

One store specializing in blood. Virgin's blood, separated by age, race, sex, and whether the source was chaste for religious reasons. Blood of various saints and clergy, though avoiding martyr's blood. Premium on blood of a holy person who died forsaking their faith. Blood of unicorns, good outsiders, good dragons, devils, and even demons.

Other body parts: Angelskin, dragonhide (largely good dragons), dragon bones, unicorn horns, hands of a murderer, ash from a dryad's tree.

Cursed items.

Demonic Implants.

Pets/slaves, from fiendish animals to mortals to even less powerful devils.

A brothel run by succubi. An information broker run by succubi. Check out this post for more ideas re: urban succubi.

Sovereign Court

Alushinnyra is a city continually cloaked in darkness and shadows. It's also called the Porphyry city due to the stone used to construct many of its buildings. It's also home to incubi, succubi, shadow creatures of all types, and lots and lots of cambions (think 7 deadly sins).

Look at the districts and you'll have some guidance on naming conventions. The Fleshmarkets for example could have a slave trading auction house called The Dark Lady's Thrall Emporium or a brothel called The Perilous Embrace.

I rolled a random encounter of the adult umbral dragon pop up in concert with the PCs hunting down a certain disgraced lilitu and they faced her and the dragon in it's underground lair/ apothecary shop called Penumbral Potions & Poisons.

When I rolled the Drinker of Thoughts encounter I had the Oolioddroo run an inn and tavern near the Gates of the Moon called The Thirsty Dreamer.

As my PCs searched out magic items in the metropolis I made a tailor shop selling clothing based wondrous items called Nightblade's Needle run by a drow blackblade magus.

Thanks King of Vrock. Those are some fantastic names and ideas. I think I'll add them to my Alushinnyra.

The best thing I had was a Neogi run inn/church of Juiblex/"Dance Hall".

Instruments of Hard Truths: Torture gear

Unpaid Favors: 'Demons Revisited' mentioned, that succubi can somehow exchange ownership of the profane boon granted to mortals, so that would be an idea of a shop...

Sorrowfull Toys: Items tied to tragic pasts, perfect for creating haunts and cursed items.

Easy vacations: A wizard offering to open small, shortlived portals on the material plane

Names of Power: True names of fiends, devils and even angels (though nothing too powerful)

Pharasma's dirt: Night-hag, selling souls

Blixiu's curses: A variety of cursed items

Dervia's Hounds: Demonic Bounty hunters, who demons ask to capture members of specific races

Wurian's Slave improvement: Wurian (coloxus) has vampires, werewolfs, ghouls and other creatures, who can transmite their state on others chained up

Fantastic. Keep these names coming. Ideas like this will help countless GMs, like me, now and in the future.

Scarab Sages

Banger & Mash's: Breakfast nook and thrift store

Barnes & Scoundrel: Everything from the Marquis de Sade's poetry to De Vermis Mysteriis to "Jack Chick's Funny Pages."

Rosebud's: Fine purveyors of child pornography. Stands proudly at the north end of the town square with large, well-kept display windows.

The Apple Store: They got 'em with sleeping poison! They got 'em with regular poison! They got 'em with forbidden knowledge! They got golden ones for "the Fairest!" How do you like THEM apples???

So, I came up with a good name for a store to buy slaves from:

The Murdered Waif

My players loved it.

They ended up staying at an inn called The Twilight Eternal. The Twilight Eternal is run by an incubus named Malcaedix. There was also a succubus "wench" named Malanie.

And they ended up not going there, but I created a bar called The Brass Monkey.

Engorgements, an all you can eat buffet where everything is in the menu.

Ninjaburger fast food stores. You never see any employees, but the burgers keep appearing on your table. Don't ask what's in them.

Bloodmace's Department Store -- all the expensive bling you want. Don't ask what the leather items are made from.

Floormart Cheap Buys -- exactly what it says on the sign. Just don't ask about all the dretches with cheerful buttons pinned to their flesh.

I probably won't like the answer to this question at all, but why is the slave store called The Murdered Waif? I figured it'd be called The Chained Waif or something.

No reason at all. Was just a random name I pulled together from the Game Mastery Guide.

Although ask yourself - what sounds more demonic? The Chained Waif or The Murdered Waif?
