One-trick pony: Squinty the Halfling Will-Ripper

Advice

Halfling Mesmerist 1/Witch 4

1: Malicious Eye (lets him add Halfling Jinx to the Evil Eye Hex. Hex now gives -3 to all saves)
3: Iron Will
5: Bolster Jinx makes his Jinx Hex strip another -2 from target Will saves. Hex now strips -5 Will, -3 Fort and Reflex.

Evil Eye as a standard action + Hypnotic Stare as a swift action = target is at -7 Will and -3 to the other two. IIUC, none of these debuffs are subject to saves or SR... the halfling just scrunches up one eye for a few seconds and, bam, your Will goes all wobbly sideways.

As noted on the label, a one-trick pony... but if you pair him with a an enchanter, or anyone who specializes in save-or-sucks that target Will, there are some amusing possibilities.

Say hello to my little friend...

This sounds like the perfect little buddy for the Kitsune Fey Sorceress.

That's really not all that much of a one-trick pony. Int 16-18, Cha 12-14, and that seems like a perfectly workable build. A lost level of casting for -2 Will Save on enemies is maybe not the best trade ever, but it's still fairly workable as a standard Slumber Witch IMO.

Evil Eye has a save against it. I am unfamiliar with the other things, such as Malicious Eye, but I would be shocked if one of them took away the save.

-5 is still pretty great though, and you save the dip.

Evil Eye still works for a round even if you save, though. Add in Cackle and it might as well not have one for most practical purposes.

Someone clearly saw this trick coming. :)

But yeah, that's hardly a build-breaker. And it really does go to -7 at 8th level going straight Witch. So there's that.

Of course, Halfling Jinx-Witches are hardly a new idea. Still shiny and effective, though.

The extra stacking from malicious eye only factors in when they fail the save, per the text of the feat.

Ah! True. Still nice though.

Can you get that malicious eye from VMC? So, no loss of caster/hex level.
