Hi Paizo

For the last couple of Iconic Heroes releases (#4 and #5) I've had a preorder set to ship with my subscriptions.

Everything has seemed to work fine, except that I have subsequently received a second copy. In the first case I didn't mention it as I wasn't 100% sure that I didn't accidentally order it twice, but I'm more sure with #5.

Could you look into that for me and see if I did, in fact, order them both twice or whether there's some glitch sending me two copies when I preorder to my sidecart?

I'm very happy to have two copies, so there's no issue at the end of the day, however I'd like to know if I'm doing something stupid or if the 21st century is conspiring against me (again).

Hi Steve!

Hmmmm, I've gotta admit I'm scratching my head a bit on this one. From what I can see, it looks like you preordered both 4 and 5 back in July, but I'm not sure those preorders ever made it to the sidecart. The set of #5 that was sent out with your most recent subscription says it was placed in August, so it must also have been a preorder, but it went with the items from your sidecart in the subscription.

My best guess is that there was an issue somewhere and the order with both 4 and 5 got submitted on their own and never made it to the sidecart. Therefore, once the sets became available, they took it upon themselves to ship out on their own. I'm not sure where the second set of preorders came from, but it may have been that the first order wasn't displaying correctly on your Order History, so you ordered another set, thinking that they were the only ones.

I'm very sorry for the confusion, but I can't quite pinpoint whether it was the 21st century conspiring against you, or just our system being stubborn. I have, however, made sure that there is only ONE copy of Iconic Heroes #6 in your sidecart, and no mystery copies waiting in the rafters. If you do see another copy pop into March's subscription order, just let me know and I can shoo it away.

Let's politely assume it was user error and proceed from there (it's entirely possible I preordered them in July, forgot and then preordered them again later).

I'll be very, very careful not to enthusiastically order another copy of #6.
