Cleric build undead slayer. I want to just murder all undead.

Advice

I looked though the guides but I was wondering if anyone has a cleric build they like who's soul focus is killing undead.

Ordinary cleric with Sunlight and Glory domains.

Evil (or neutral) cleric who uses animate and control undead to take over his enemies and control them to destroy other enemies. Fire with fire.

Aasimar life oracle with FCBs could be pretty good with those improved channels.

Don't forget to load up the feats on your channel energy class ability.

Play an Aasimar cleric with the domains DM_Blake listed. The FCB for Aasimar clerics will allow you to add half your level to damage vs undead and evil outsiders, which stacks with the extra damage from the sun domain. Add improved channel and Sacred Conduit for a total of +5 DC to the save. Swap out celestial resistance for deathless spirit for some defense vs negative energy.

Liberty's Edge

When you mean smashing undead's faces by saying "slayer", getting high STR and 2H-weapon always works. To get some extra damage here you can take Channel Smite as a feat and usual stuff like Power Attack and Furious Focus.

Those builds do not need much feats, so Variant Multiclassing is possible. Flavourwise you could take Ranger here with the Favoured Enemy Class Feature at level 7 and pair this with an Undead Bane weapon enchant.

If you don't mean the cleric as a class, more as a concept, then you should look into Inquisitor Class. They offer better things I'd say (when it's not about channeling undeads to death).

For a very visceral undead-smashing experience, wield a 2-handed weapon with Greater Channel Smite and the Sun Domain. Every two-handed strike adds a ton of damage.

Sun and glory are pretty good domains for it, yeah. You can carry a two-hander in addition to the customary scimitar (or katana if you are a cleric of Shizuru - she and Sarenrae are afaik the only 2 deities with the sun + glory combination). You can pick extra weapon proficiency with a feat, the half-elven trait or something like the holy vindicator PrC. It is actually not a bad choice if you want to be a more martial cleric without needing bonus feats or going for warpriest.

Still, if you want to break some bones and go full vengeance mode on the walking dead, warpriest is pretty decent.

The extra martial ability from the holy vindicator is not worth the reduced spell progression and domain abilities. You also cannot take advantage of the favored class bonus. If you went into holy vindicator at 7th level (The earliest possible level), by 12th level all you gain is +1 BAB and a few feats and special abilities. For this you have given up an extra 8 HP vs undead on each channel energy and don’t get your 6th level spells. Nothing the holy vindicator gets at that level is worth giving up undeath to death or heal.

Why kill undead when you can control them instead? Be a Bones Mystery Oracle.

I was giving the holy vindicator as an example in how to get the extra proficiencies. The higher HD offsets the favored class bonus somewhat, and your first 4 levels only cost you 1 level of casting, putting a cleric about on par with the oracle. I am not saying it is great, but it is an option if you want to make a more warlike cleric and don´t care for playing a warpriest. I would not take it before level 8, though, the level 8 abilities for most clerics are pretty good and they don´t lose BAB.

I´ll give you heal, that one is good, but while I´d love to like undeath to death, I´m not sold on it. It is a spell targetting will saves (which are good for all undead) and working off their normally high HD. Then you pay 500 GP for each casting.

The favored class bonus for an Aasimar cleric is +1/2 damage per level when channeling positive energy against undead and evil outsiders. This is why I suggested an Aasimar. To me an extra 5 damage on every channel energy vs undead is worth more than an extra 10 HP.

While waiting till 8th level means you gain your second domain powers. The problem is while you may have the domain power they are not advancing. This means you are doing 15 less points of damage on every channel energy (including the 5 from the Aasimar favored class bonus). You also gave up 10 rounds of Divine Presence, and sacrificed +5 on the saves DC. You also gave up 10 rounds of nimbus of light and 10pt of damage per round to undead. The +5 bonus you lose from your touch of glory is probably not all that important, but it can be useful. This is of course assuming you get high enough level to take all 10 levels in holy vindicator, and also take them. You could take of course dip for a few levels, but then what do you really get?

Since the original poster wanted to optimize his damage vs undead it stands to reason he is expecting a undead heavy campaign. In a campaign that did not have a lot of undead, or if he had a different set of domains than maybe a holy vindicator would be a good choice. But with these domains and in a undead heavy campaign you are losing too much by going with holy vindicator.
