According to my new Fitbit the most sleep I've gotten in the past week and a half was seven hours, and I don't feel sleep deprived at all. My average is six and small change.
There's a reason I never want a Fitbit. I'd rather not know how little sleep or exercise I actually get.

Ah, but it turns it into a competition. I can work with a competition

Turns track suit rightside out

Oh and...

GOOD MORNING TREEFORTNAM!!!

Done with my shift, but now I gotta head out to get some planting stuff

Competition isn't very Zen-like, you know. ;)

Overall, a good birthday, but the wrap-up would merit Captain Yesterday's list of birthday woes. I went to bed on my birthday and woke up with pink eye.

That's terrible!

It is when you are competing against yourself ;)

Ah. Spent the morning touring the Upper Cape, listening to the Tao Te Ching on audible, walking my dogs, hunting through yard sales for books, and buying plant materials for the big Memorial Day planting. But now I'm beat. Good night Treeforters

*blink*

Oh no..sorry about the pink eye man!

Silver Crusade

I've actually never had pink eye before this. This morning I couldn't figure out why my eye was so crusty, so I had to Google it. The urgent care doc confirmed it, and I've got the drops working.

I just blame my cats, my dogs, and my allergies for my red, irritated eyes. Pink eye is for sissies. ~grins and runs~

J/K!!! J/K on the sissies part.

Edit - I hope that you get better soon, CH.

I've got Pac Man Fever!

Holy crap!

Yay science fantasy! Now we need a Modern D20-type AP!

Post-apocalypse stuff wouldn't be bad either. Sadly, I think Owen is just too busy with other stuffs to get Warlords of the Apocalypse up and running anytime soon.

Though maybe Paizo could put him in charge of an 'official' project of that nature.

Idea for a future AP: Zombie Apocalypse. Modern rules, gritty survival path through a world dissolving into a blood-and-undead-soaked nightmare realm.

I miss the Z-Day PbP. What a trip that was

Z-Day in all its gonzo hyperlinked glory

Sadly, the age of many of those links mean that they are broken at this point :/

Patrick Curtin wrote:

The disappointing part was how close it was to concluding when it went on indefinite hiatus.

Yeah we never found out what was the Lovecraftian angle of it all

Could this be the start of the Zombie Apocalypse?

Paizo's official Starfinder site is now live. (The links from it don't work yet though.)

That'll be what gets us: pinkeye + zika virus = zombies.

What ever happened to Kruelaid?

~bangs head against the desk~ I want this damn callout to be over. I can't claim any more time because I have worked 14 days but I can't leave the trouble. I have been on it for over 3 hours and it feels like I am chasing my tail.

Sharoth wrote:

He's active on FaceBook, but not so much here. Like many of us, his life changed and he doesn't have the time for posting he used to have.

That sucks.

I am running yet another overnight, but I feel good after getting a solid seven hours of sleep before showing up. I do have to come back at 4pm for another shift, but then I have an actual day off for Memorial Day. I am looking forward to that, and catching up on my chores.

~shrugs~ We have customers down so I can't leave until I know that this office is clear or the trouble is in another office.

Edit - OTOH I usually do not have these issues. It just must be that twice in a blue moon thing.

Well, may you decipher the bugs quickly and get back to the comfort of your bed.

Me, I'm halfway done and looking forward to dawn. Things always look better by dawn light.

ah, that sucks (the boy brought it home from daycare and shared it with all of us)

the good news is: the eye drops get it under control fast

We got the customers up and running. I will be back there on Monday if the equipment that I will order will arrive then.

That sounds so much more metal. I want to start a band called Bindehautentzündung now.

I saw some stuff about this on FB. My first, and so far only, response was "meh". I guess I just don't game enough (as in "at all") to get excited about these things anymore.

Actually, Freehold, the following was posted on Facebook just this morning and might interest you:

Spoiler:
John Reyst (May 29 @ 9:38AM) wrote:

So to head off those of you who have heard about Paizo's Starfinder product.

d20pfsrd.com Publishing was developing a product called "Starfinder", announced a couple of years ago. Development stalled for some time but is now in wrap up phase and could theoretically be released this summer.

Paizo called me a few months ago discussing their plans to release a product in 2017 called Starfinder but noticed I have something in the works with that name and wondered what could be done. I suggested that I'm not 100% married to the name Starfinder and would happily change it.

Erik Mona indicated Paizo would be happy to share the development files for Starfinder as they develop it so that my team could

a. Help playtest it,
b. Retrofit MY product to match the new rules, and
c. Develop an SRD website to support it similar to d20pfsrd.com.

That seemed a more than reasonable arrangement thus, the product formerly known as Starfinder by d20pfsrd.com Publishing, is now called Starjammer and should theoretically release sometime around Gen Con 2016.

I, and the others on my team, are all under signed NDAs so we can't discuss the details of their product or plans more than that.

I might have to do my Spelljammer campaign with this news! Hopefully by 2017 I'll be settled enough to have the time...

Now if WotC announces Planescape 5e....

I'm probably going to get crucified for saying this, but I've never liked Spelljammer.

Planescape had some cool stuff in it. Sort of like Spelljammer without the clown shoes.

orders a considerable amount of wood, three nails, some rope

I always preferred Spelljammer. :-)

Spelljammer in its original form had a lot of clown shoe-yness to it. It never truly took itself seriously. The Giff were one of the most one-note races ever made. And the whole running hamster gag ... Well

However, if you stripped those things out there was a lot of interesting stuff in the setting. I liked the Unhuman War concept, and we get to see elves as more of an arrogant superior race rather than shy tree huggers. The Scro were an interesting concept as well, orcs bred to be superior to elves by using their culture against them.
