I've slept in a closet, and under a half pipe, also a canoe.

Yeah, she's been bragging about that, the highest rating she's gotten yet!

Ok. New haven is 2 1/2 hrs from me. So, if I get up at 0 Dark 30, I can be there by @6-7am. Then I can be in Grand Central by 9am. This is looking great. It would take me 2 hours to get to South Station anyway

ok.

I will be with my mom for the early hours of the morning and then be in manhattantown around 1 or so. Does that work for you? CH, what time do you think you will be in the city?

Oh any time.

Haven't gotten that far yet.
would it be possible to stay with Patrick? Or would that be too much?
Too much for me, or for him?
I'm good. Idk what the hotel's occupancy stats are, or how rigorously they are enforced. I think CH had evidenced some interest in crashing there

That's still a question mark, so there is certainly no issue with Dave taking that up,

Is it weird places we have slept today?

-Slept standing up at work (hey I was working like 80+ hours that week)
-Slept curled up in a cat bed... I must have been super tired when I went to pet my mom's cats.
-Slept on my computer keyboard... when I was too tired to realize I needed sleep not internet.
-Slept behind the wheel of my car... this doesn't end well when it happens.

I also fell asleep once standing up,... in High School. :/

I fall asleep at my keyboard all the time. I'm not too tired to realize that I needed sleep more than interwebs, I just don't care. :P

Sleeping behind the wheel? Yeah,... that never ends well. O_o

I usually just sleep in bed or on a chair.

I used to sleep under my desk on a fairly regular basis when I was living to work. Fool.

I've fallen asleep in the computer room, sitting with my feet in a hole on the raised floor and leaning against the humming drives. Very cozy.

Rumble strips saved my life several times before I got CPAP. I fell asleep all the time then - sitting at the table eating, sitting at the keyboard, watching TV, reading, driving, working, on the exam table at the doctor's office, in the dentist's chair while he was drilling my teeth. The only place I didn't sleep was in bed at night.

Dude, I spent 15 years in the Scouts, from Cub Scouts as a kid all the way up through Explorers in my twenties. Name a large object or physical feature, and I've probably crashed on it.

I almost gave one of the foremen at work a heart attack after I fell asleep on a pile of rocks using a piece of faced insulation as a blanket. Everyone came back from their lunch break, and they didn't notice I was there until I woke up.

Best sleeping story was sleeping jammed in a cattle car (the term for the people-moving vehicle in the Army at Basic Training) standing up.

Oh and passing out drunk on a stairway. Worst. Sleep. Ever.

It could end well... if I crashed into some rich and handsome single guy who is amazing and pays for everything while sweeping me off my feet and... yeah I know I read too many fairy tales...

(or romance novels)

I like posting during the brief moments I can snatch between my life's many goings on

I once got drunk and blacked out, passed out at my ex-girlfriend's (currently my wife) boyfriend's parent's house, in a city 50 miles away, and his entire family is deaf.

It was pretty confusing to say the least.

I've only ever gotten blackout drunk twice in my life.

The second time was at a friend's wedding, where I remember nothing past the band finishing their first song, but I apparently stayed after the reception to help take out the trash and stack all the tables and chairs.

The first time, though, involved me face-planting into the floor in the middle of a conversation with some girl that a friend introduced me to, then a trip to the hospital, after which said friend picked me up, drove to the dry cleaner's to pick up a suit, and then dumped me off at his step-brother's place in a strange town while he went off to officiate a wedding. I woke up on a stranger's couch in an empty house with the front door open. Ever seen 28 Days Later? It was kind of like that.

Another great day segueing into another potentially great day. 18 hours of work ready, then some landscraping Monday and Wednesday

Looks like we had about 18" of snow today.

It's not so bad when you've got fresh bread, cinnamon rolls, garlic-parm mashed potatoes, and beef stew.

Yes that WOULD soften the blow, lol

Since my wife is my Hun, should I add the A before the Hun?

~grins and runs~

That sounds barbaric!

Dark hospital areas are kinda spooky O.O

I'm on a boat with a couple of whackos

Substitute "hospital" for "boat" and "patients" for "whackos"

****

Actually you can just leave the second one as is....

It made for some turbulence flying overhead!

At least it's just snow...
Someone filmed this recently. Wow.

Yeah, I got sick of getting beaten on by hail and tornadoes in the Midwest. They're talking about a record number of tornadoes in Colorado this year. Maybe 20! Hahahahaha! In St. Louis, we called that a bad day.

And hail... I don't think folks who haven't seen it realize how awful it is. I ran outside in a moderate hailstorm to grab my poor cat, and that stuff hurts!

So, do angels have to get cleared with air traffic control?

My dad has some good pictures of hail after it has fallen but then that's his job. I was only caught in a hail storm twice in my life once was during cheer practice and the pieces were small but they stung when they hit us. The other time I was driving north of Chicago and I was worried they would smash my windows so I pulled over. But that video is way worse then anything I have seen.

I'm glad you were able to rescue the little fellow.

one of my earlier memories are of being hit in the throat by a sleet stone as a lad. I was incredibly ill the next day, with fever.

In other news, it's too hot today.

*yawn*

Good morning (afternoon?) Treeforters!

About six hours sleep and another shift to go do. Truly life is good. I do wish I had enough time to exercise, but it's just not going to happen today. Tomorrow I'll have a half day of landscraping to do, which will go straight into my pocket money fund for the weekend. I'm debating whether I should sell my Unopened Orcus mini from WotC. I could possibly get $100 for it. It would be a nice cushion.

We sure as f~+$ don't get through TSA screening any faster, if that answers your question.
