Well, my pup was suffering from a bad tummy ache. We got to deal with the natural consequences of that at 315 am. In the rain.
My landlady from my previous dwelling is now claiming I owe her extra money because of the carpeting. I would think taking my entire security deposit would be enough, but obviously not.
I am sorry to hear that, Patrick.

Morning? AGain?
Didn't we JUST have one of those yesterday?!?
Well, my fly line for my ceiling panel on stage is completely fubar.
Good news, I have a guy who can likely get everything needed together and fix it this next weekend.
Bad news, Getting the university to pay for anything (in a hurry anyway) is like pulling teeth from a chicken.
A rabid, steroid-powered, gamma-irradiated, werewolf chicken. ;P
Yep. It's gonna be ANOTHER one of those weeks! O_o

I understand what everyone is trying to tell me. I can't let the pain of a past tragedy stop me from living. To not go when all my friends say go means that I don't value your opinions. So, I'll go. In between the Society game sessions, I'll have a brief memorial involving the pouring out of a can of beer in his memory. I'll probably cry a little. Afterwards, I'll try to have closure. Try to move on. Try to heal.
*Tearing up as I wrote this. Typical.*

No new horror can be more terrible than the daily torture of never having cake.

Meh.
DOn't get me wrong, I LIKE cake, but I Just. Can't. Have it. Right. Now. :P
And, after so long avoiding sugar in general, and lately carbs entirely,...
Meh. ;)
On The Other Hand,...
Come Thanksgiving, all bets are OFF!
There will be Cornbread Dressing, and Pie,..
And probably Cake.
But it will still be Evil. Capitol 'E'.
Morning, all. What did I miss?
Life has been crazy. And will continue to be crazy for the foreseeable future. I could go for a nap.
Naps are good.
And welcome back! I hope things are going ok!
Seven more workdays. The next Friday will be the first day of freedom (minus having to come back to get an after-internship opinion for the employment office). Technically I end on 31, but I have three more days off to be used, which will conveniently fit the last two days and the Friday before.

Also, I am out of kotlets and sznycels my mother made when she was visiting. I have to actually cook something! *gasp*
The last days of work will be terribly borring, with all those fallen leaves that we need to dispose of every damn day.
Drejk wrote: Also, I am out of kotlets and sznycels my mother made when she was visiting. I have to actually cook something! *gasp* What are kotlets and sznycels? I love to try new food.
Kotlet schabowy: a pork chop, hammered, and covered in flour, beaten egg, and bread crumbs, fried.
Sznycel (by ignorants and Rusophiles called minced kotlet) is a sort of frikadeller: minced pork meat with some small amount of fried onions added in, flattened, and then covered in bread crumbs like the kotlet above.

Oh they are...
The drawback is that after being feed sznycle all my life I find hamburgers rather unimpressive in comparison.
Oh, and both of those can be eaten with potatoes or put inside a bun, roll, or between bread slices to make a fine sandwich.
my baby-girl had an epileptic seizure this morning and is now in the hospital with my wife over night
I am st home with the boy
so far we only know that it was indeed epileptic, what that means for here we will hopefully learn tomorrow

I am sorry to hear that. Here is hoping that she gets better soon and this is the only time.
Oh no! I hope and pray things turn out well!
Infants generally don't have the heat-regulating mechanisms that children and adults have. Thus, it's easier for infants to overheat. And, when they do, they tend to have seizures. Being the son of a retired nurse, I occasionally pick up bits of knowledge, here and there.

Prayers and positive wishes aeglos!!!!
I know how scary epileptic seizures are to witness. My daughter Ally had them daily. It was heartbreaking to see.

I know I've probably said it before, but if I'd grown up Polish, I'd weigh like 700 pounds by now. I guess I can count it as a mixed blessing that my people are famous for their lack of cooking ability...

Of course, being Irish/Scottish/English descended doesn't mean you gotta eat boiled beef and cabbage. I'm a hell of a cook.
My pooch is at the vets for the day. I try not to worry, but it is hard.

He is! A bit more toothless, but OK!

Speak for yourself, I just whipped up a fancy dinner of Spam and saltines with a side of 7-11 beef jerky, all washed down with a refreshing seven or eight cans of Labatt Light. If that's not the food of my people, I don't know what is.

My pup seems to be doing great. Thanks to everyone who sent me money, and well wishes.
There might be problems down the road, and the vet didn't find a definitive cause for his abscess, but he seems to be eating a lot easier.
