Phew.

My daughter's baby shower today.

I'm feeling old.

So old I put my clothes on backwards

Should I make myself dinner or go to bed?

Dinner...

Wow. Congrats, when is she due?

I was just talking with Mark, the frontman of Bridge Under Fire and Operation Hennessey, and found out that the main guitar that he uses (a TV yellow Gibson Les Paul Jr.) used to belong to Bill Mumy, AKA Anthony Fremont from The Twilight Zone AKA Will Robinson from Lost In Space AKA Lennier from Babylon 5.

Fun fact: The recent revamp of The Twilight Zone (sadly canceled) did an updated episode of It's a Good Life with the original cast:

Full episode here

Fun fact 2: Bill Mumy was friends of the producers of the Nineties show Sliders, and at one time they had brainstormed about the cast visiting an alternate world based on It's a Good Life, but nothing ever came of it.

Time to go to work!

Too late! I am already there!

I hope your night is going well, sir Dragon.

I am happy to be getting a third shift at the hospital after getting zero shifts scheduled. Even though it's not a rent cycle payday, I still could use the cash to pay forward my debts a bit

Almost six hundred words written...

I need two more paragraphs before I can sent it... Though I might extend it more...

Good luck!

+1

I have my own writing to do tonight in the form of homework. Always with the dreaded homework.

I am not a writer, but at the moment I Have too.

We pestered my dad into writing down all the stories he told me about his childhood and youth when I was a kid. he did a bit, then we interviewed him and recorded, then typed it.

now I have to bring it in a form that we can print and bind for his 80s birthday in september

he grew up during WWII and without runing water, such a differnent childhood than today

I was wondering that myself.

He explained it in Deep 6 FaWTL.

I think it's an agnostic godfather (guess).

More or less.

Edit: better phrase. :)

Metal dwarves!

Three dwarven constructs (plus three variants).
Dwarven constructs? Are they made by dwarves or made of dwarves?
The answer is "yes".

And now the constructs almost reached the number of undead (9 constructs, 10 undead). Outsiders still remain the first, with 14 of them available...

I blame the looming temptation of planar binding spells...

Made by dwarves from dwarves for dwarves!

The dwarves' analogy to the Build-a-Bear Workshop.

At your pace I'm sure you'll hit 50K real quick

Headed home to go to work

*sigh*

Just heard about a job I could get as a paralegal ...

At less per hour than my current job ...

Feel better, monkey.

Why do I have a page?

Thanks

I'm just feeling like a Millennial trapped in a Gen Xer's body right now. I don't even have the solace of youth to make my poverty less bitter...

And now the boards don't seem to want to work correctly ...sigh

Oh well, negativity isn't going to get me anywhere. I will work towards my degree and trust that the universe will provide something.

Plus I really have to get cracking on my homework. I have a busy schedule tomorrow. Back to bus driving! It's Spring sports season

Good luck Monkey Man! I know that you can do it, even if it is always rough when you switch job tracks and have to start from scratch.

~bangs head against the wall~ I am so weak! ~sighs~ I blame Patrick. He is the one who said I should use (some of) the $500 that work gave me for "doing a good job". ~tries to not laugh~ So on a lark, I went to Amazon and just looked around. I knew, KNEW, that I needed to use that money for other things. More important things. (I also blame being tired and achy.) But no! I had to click the button and order them. ~sighs again~ An X-Box One with six games and a Play and charge kit. The games are Borderlands - The Handsome Collection, XCOM 2, Fallout 4, Life is Strange, The Elder Scrolls - Skyrim SE, and The Witcher 3 - Wild Hunt CE. The sad part is that I had all of these on the computer. OTOH ther is a difference and my arms are getting tired of using the keyboard and mouse. Beginning stages of carpal tunnel are not fun. ~sighs once more~ Oh well. On the plus side, I did not have to pay for all of that. And I have been wanting a X-Box One for a while.

It's probably laced with mind-control nanites. The government tries that shit with me all the time. You need some tin-foil gloves.

Because busy is a mean mean state of existence

Speaking of busy what are you still doing up? I'm driving home in a few minutes and going to bed.

~points to the monkey~ We are working our standard night shift.

Sharoth! I really am going home and to bed now. G'night.
