I am so sorry to hear that.

I had the weirdest experience last night (actually between 6-7 this morning). I was dreaming that I was at a beach resort talking on the cell phone in the lobby. I had set my purse on the couch in front of me and went looking for it to put my phone back in. I was the only one there, but each time I picked up a purse, it was the wrong one and another appeared on the couch.

After a couple of times, I went "Oh, of course, I'm dreaming." But I didn't wake up like other lucid dreaming sessions. I went out on the beach, watched with other people as a dragon chased some poor bastards in a boat ("Wow, wonder what they did to piss it off"), had a meal, met with friends for drinks and to watch fireworks on the beach. It was like having Jedi mind powers. It was very real, but anytime I was asked for money, I'd laugh and say "I don't need to pay; this is a dream." They would shrug and accept it. Way cool.

I'm gonna try that at Starbucks today.

Oh, and I absolutely could not wake up and get out of it. Fortunately, an idiot east coast friend who forgets about time zones texted me at 6:45 to chat and the sound woke me up for real. It was kind of a relief by then.

Welcome to team Lucid Dreamers!

I had a dream where I was my Rifts character and I was being hunted by the Dead Boys and Dog Packs near Chi town. When they caught me and killed me I realized it was a dream and had a TOTAL blast. I attended a rave inside Chi Town itself and explored the levels and scenic atriums. I even vandalized the Emperor's office. I didn't want to leave the dream. But I had no trouble getting out of the dream... just difficulty getting into it.

I had a wierd dream a few years ago. I was my City of Heroes character and I ran into Lloth. I was fighting her and I somehow was able to turn her into wood. After that, she got pissed and really came after me. Needless to say I ran for my life. One of the scarier dreams. I was VERY glad to wake up from that one.

I forgot just how much I like classical and alternative music. I was driving to work and nothing was on the regular channels so I turned it to NPR (91.1 here in Savannah, GA). Man that was an amazing classical concert that they were playing. I now have NPR up on my computer and I am listening to Echoes while I plan my work night.

~sighs~ Sinus headaches suck. Not as much as migraines but they are still annoying.

Last time I got a migraine, about 35 years ago, the doc prescribed Fiorinal. "Will this cure my headache?" I asked. "No," he said, "but you won't care." He was right.

I told my current doc that story a while ago when we were talking about pain-killers. He said "I'm not giving you any of that." :-)

I have been playing Skyrim off and on since it came out and I am still finding new places and doing quests that I have never done before. I think that this time I might just finish the No Stones Left Unturned quest.

Also it has been fun doing limited fast travel in Skyrim. I can only fast travel between main cities that have carriages or other means of travel between holds. But I can't fast travel there until I have walked to that city first. Dawnstar is a prime example. It has both a carriage and a boat that allow access to other cities. But Winterhold does not have either so I can go to that cities by carriage or boat but I have to walk out from there. OTOH I will allow a fast travel point from the College of Winterhold to any main city (got to love teleportation) if I am student there. That also makes getting a carriage at my three houses an important deal. At this point I have yet to get to Dawnstar, Markarth, and Solitude.

Edit - I do sometimes "cheat" on the fast travel bit but only if I go to one of my houses to offload all of the accumulated junk and then come straight back to the point that I left.

My ex- got migraines all the time. It was not fun being around her when she was hurting that bad.

Well, this night is atrting off badly. I think my phone might have blue screened :/

Nope. I haven't texted you. Good luck with your phone. Try removing the battery and waiting a few minutes before putting it back in.

Phew. Finally got it working again. It's a good thing I have an iPhone 7+ on order.

Now to concentrate on my take-home final!

My work phone does that. Just unplug the battery and then plug it back it that resets mine.

I got it done. Thank Yahweh

Ah. Dawn breaks

It's so weird that Dawn means the end of my work day

I need to search my archived books. I have no idea where my D20 collection ended up

I made the mistake of leaving several tubs with a friend back in 2015. Mostly my 3.x collection. I'm now having a hard time pinning him down , and there have been a few tense back-and-firths on FB. I swear every time I leave shit with someone it gets lost or stolen. I should know better.

I miss my graveyard shift.

The graveyard shift misses you too. But I mailed it a new scope so it should hit people better. You might want to duck more.

I've been trying to be more mindful of fast travel this playthrough, but it can be so tempting. For instance, once you've been to High Hrothgar the first time, trekking up and down that mountain is a chore.

However, I do your city to city travel one step further - I actually hire the boats and carriages. Then it is not cheating.

I got mad at myself recently though. I fetched Esbern from Riften and rather reflexively fast traveled to Riverwood. Then I wondered, "what is it like walking the whole way with him?" Oh well.
