8K. Not FAWTL level, but cool

I've managed to shrink my waist by a belt-hole-length since the start of the month. Yay!

Which obviously will be celebrated with a pastry that's mostly whipped cream.

If you came to visit me in Houston, we could binge watch the entire series.

I never liked that finger anyway. {double middle-fingers the missing finger}
Your name is Sarah?

While I've been called many other names (especially by my siblings), that's the name on the birth certificate.

My apologies to the Sarah to which you were originally referring. :)

I think the whole series is on Netflix DVD. That's how I've been watching it.

Booo...

Not that Farscape is bad, but it's a real shame that Netflix and Hulu don't have B5.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not.

Yeah, that's now my guess too, but my clue didn't arrive until hours after the fact.

Lol. Nope just stupid. My only defense is I had just woken up when I posted that and I had clean forgotten that Netflix used to be exclusively a mail DVD system

It's literally the first thing I have written in its entirety in decades. Frigging DECADES.

I thought my writers block was iron hard.

This new job is getting me the keyboard time I need.

And the editor's comments show that it has been decades since I wrote anything, lol.

Well, he was fairly complimentary, and gave it a fair critique, but my s*+~ is rusty and my slang is weak, yo.

Still, super stoked I wrote it. Crappy writing is better than no writing.

And I got a 95 on my project! A ray of light in professor Hardass' class!

Back on refrigerator patrol. Extra fun dimension tonight: One of the fish tanks is wonky. Might be fish babysitting tonight as well.

*YAWN*

I really dislike weekends

Or Thursdays-Mondays, actually

Why? I am sort of looking forward to this weekend. If I were not a paycheck and a half behind, I might even enjoy it. OTOH, I have laundry, a house to clean, a yard to mow, and a ton of yard work to do.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

~sighs~ OTOH, I am really getting tired of bleeding money. If we could get the debt under control and about 6 months to build up some savings... ~wry smile~ Oh well, that is what I get for being the only one in my house working right now. I wonder if I could get the dogs to help out? I know that the cats would just sneer at me and demand some more caviar. Of course, I think my dachshund puppy is developing back problems at an early age (he is around 2 years old). When I get some extra money, he is next to go to the vet. ~looks at my list~ Dog food, cat food, cat litter, flea medicine, food, bills, gas, ect.

Thursday is my long day at school. My typical Th-Mon schedule looks like this:

Thursday: 12am-8am work
1230pm-10pm School including commute
Friday:
12-8am work
3pm-9pm Bus trip
Saturday:
12am-4pm work
Sunday:
12am-8am work
4pm-12am work
Monday 12am-8am work

~looks at your schedule~ Is that all? You really need to stop slacking off! ~grins and runs from The Wrath of Patrick Curtin!!! TM*~

* scheduled release date is Fall 2017 in IMAX, 3D, and regular screening.

*shrug* I'm too tired to get mad.

I'm just happy I have Monday afternoon off. I might get a few of those chore things done m'self ... before heading in for midnight on Tuesday that is

Well, I for one hope that you have a good weekend.

~scratches my head in confusion~ I have a positive balance in the bank account (THANK YOU MOM!!!), so why did that one bill for the wife not go through? ~shakes my head~ Probably it tried to go through when we were real close to the zero mark or just a SNAFU. Oh well, I will add the amount to the money I deposit into the wife's bank account.

I wish I was as capable as you are Patrick. Just the work load alone is past what I would want to do. And you are still a creative and nice person. You have very good long term plans and you are working towards them. Keep it up!

I must say that having a positive bank balance even before my paycheck hits the bank has improved my mood considerably.

Thanks you overtime!!! A few more paychecks like this and I might, MIGHT, manage to get caught up! Still, paying an extra $850 to unexpected bills hurts. But I think I will survive. I just hope that I can pick up some more overtime next week and next weekend.

Sorry about whining again.

Hey, if you can't b*+&& among friends who can you b+$@# to?

I'm happy to get my pay this morning. Three checks and rent is set and a bit more for bills, and a trip to PAX East.

Life is good

I'll say this: If I wasn't a sleep mutant I would never keep this pace up. More often than not I am getting 3-hour sleep periods in. Which even for me is stretching it. If I can get a solid 4-5 hours in I am good.

Plus, my jobs are not stressful (well, the bus driving is, but that's only 10-15 hrs a week)

I just dislike Thursday-Friday because there is literally no time to get sleep in. Between the two overnights and the long school day I am lucky if I get 3 hours in in a 32-hour period. And that's enough to make anyone crabby.

Almost time to go home and actually get a bit of sleep!

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Take care Patrick! I am going to grab some breakfast and then run some errands before heading home to mow the lawn. Sleep well!

OI, The bleeding money bit I get yo! ;P

I have a plan (It's contrived and convoluted, and involves signature loans to pay off credit card debt, but it IS a plan!) ;P to pay off our debt, but unexpected expenses keep popping up and causing me to use the credit card I JUST took the loan to pay off! :(

(Stupid car and needing brake job and FOUR new rotors!) :/

Oh, and the teenager daughter (Jr in HS) learning to drive (THAT'LL test your insanity limits!) and needing all the HS stuff that goes with being involved in 3-4 different activities,... and her Jr high lil' brother soon to be on the same 'need this' list,...

I can't afford pets (Whole family wants a dog, but I literally cannot afford to take care of one) I have KIDS! ;P

Yeah, your in good company Sharoth! :)

Have you considering exchanging one or two of your kids for a dog or a cat?

Many, many times. :/

As quickly as a litter box can fill up, I still think the cat would give me less S#!% than my kids tend to. ;P

<Edit-removed stuff that was funnier in my head) ;P

You removed funny stuff from your head?!

Are you sure that was a good idea? How do you want to deal with the sadness of the world outside without funny thing inside your head?

In another parking lot. This time in the rather ironically named town of Fairhaven

<Headdesk>

No no no,... I KEPT the funny things in my head, I have too!

I removed them from the post because I wasn't sure it was as funny to others as it was IN my head! ;P

And at this point, I don't deal with the sadness of the world. I Just let it go on by and blissfully ignore it like i do the evening news.

My family and I live in our own little word.
(OK, mainly just me, but they visit frequently)

They like me there. :)

Ok, now THAT sounds like a location for a new TV show or RPG game.

Sad when it works for either,... ;P
