1,000 posts/month isn't a bad rate. 33 a day isn't to shabby

At this rate we never catch up with FAWTL!

I really do love my new job. Paizo access is so nice. I missed a full keyboard

Mama kitty is still not better so I will be calling the vet today to get an appointment set up. ~sighs~ There goes another $350. A sick cat, an alternator, and house repairs. I will need another job if this keeps up. OTOH, it could be worse. ~thinks~ So what kind of cheese and crackers should I have with my whine?

I'm sorry to hear your furbaby isn't well. Positive waves, Dragon.

I'm looking forward to reaping the rewards of my three jobs this Thursday and Friday when my checks come in. Of course I have to speand most of it on rent, but at least I have enough for rent..

~sighs~ Nope. It will not be $350. More like $500 to $600 or more. Mama kitty has infected gums and will probably need several teeth removed. OTOH the vet is really good and they care. ~grimaces~

Edit - It looks like it will be a month or three before I can get to my car issues. I am just glad that the wife does not mind me using her car.

Gah. Manhattan was gridlocked today. I had to get across town and got cut off by:

The motorcade of the prime minister of Japan.

The motorcade of the president of Turkey (complete with protesters).

The motorcade of the president of Brazil (complete with even louder protesters).

It's cool, but not when you have someplace to be. Especially when that place you need to be is a few blocks from the UN...

Particularly distressing because I was already freaking out. I had a big board meeting on my calendar tomorrow, and discovered this morning that my calendar was wrong and the meeting was actually in an hour and a half.

Run to print shop, run to buy a nicer dress shirt than the one I was wearing, navigate a maze of secret service blockades.. And still nailed it.

I am glad that it worked out, CH.

I was stopped last week for Joe Biden's motorcade. :/

Well, Dave arrived home after a long trip, only to find some creepy pervert hiding in his closet. Meanwhile, Gary's meeting with the Prime Minister of Japan had to be put on hold due to an unfortunate accident with a pair of origami samurai swords. And, across town, Scott finally picked up the wood he needed for his new project - a 1/64 scale replica of.....No, wait! That's my soap opera!

I am so happy that season 2 of Mr. Zombot is back on.

Merry Mabon!

My spaghetti dinner doubled as a harvest festival with my friend who is a solitary practitioner like myself. We try to get together during the Eight major holidays on the Great Wheel. It was nice to offer thanks for all the great things this summer had to offer and to pledge to continue on through to Samhain.

Project K-5 finished, sent, and paid for.

Also, I got a positive opinion about potential project M-5...

Summer is better when it occurs during a more reasonable season, like autumn.

I am holding off a little longer before I roast my first acorn squash of the season. That is the true herald of fall cooking for me.

I, on the other hand, cook acorn squash regularly. It's delicious, nutritious, and soft.

My butternut squash are looking nice and ripe. It might be time to roast one up

Well, s$*~. Someone posted a note in the boys locker room threatening to shoot up the school tomorrow. Guess who's getting a police presence at their school tomorrow?

Sorry to hear that. One of my fears is that someone is going to come into our hospital with guns blazing. It's a remote possibility, but one that worries me. Plus we've had threats.

OK, so I'm housesitting this week and away from my home PC, so don't have my tools to update a couple of pbps. I was on a courier run right past the apartment, so I stopped in to update pbps.

Windows 10 is installing updates. Please do not turn off your PC.

Mkay, I'll grab a bite to drink while I wait.

*reboot*
Windows 10 is configuring updates. Please do not turn off your PC. Your PC may restart several times.

This may take a while.

Waaaal, sheeeeeeeit. I decide to do the hour-long drive and stop back. It's 4% complete when I leave. It's 59% complete when I return. And it stays there.

I look it up under update problems. "You should wait. Ours was stuck at 75% for over two hours, then took off."

(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻)

So I left it and didn't get pbps updated. I'll text my roommate tonight and have her check. If it's still stuck, she'll have to turn it off and there's a many step fix process I will need to do.

Ugh. I hate that OS

One quiz down. Likely a A- . Now on to next class. I have to work at midnight, but it should be relatively chill. And I get two checks tomorrow:D
